Stevie is out at UCLA

RP wants this to happen so bad.

His first question for Prohm: "How do you feel that your predecessor, an All-American legend at this school, parlayed his coaching success here into both an NBA and a blueblood job, and you're still stuck trying to figure out the High-5?"

Might have been a little too eloquent, or a lot too eloquent, but he's gotta be dying to troll us with this one.

RPs follow up article: ISU vs Hoiberg? It could happen in Des Moines.

UCLA can “pick” Hoiberg just like I can “pick” JLH but just because that’s the pick doesn’t mean it will happen.

Hoiberg should hold out for another NBA gig, especially a GM at a good franchise. If Elton Brand can be a NBA GM so can Hoiberg.

'Could you play Hoiball with your current roster?'

I wish Fred the best. Not sure why there is so much hate for him. He did well for us (outside of the recruiting hole), got a job at a huge NBA franchise making major money, and probably is still headed to a great job next year because most people know he was hamstrung by Bulls management.

Still a great rep for ISU and as long as he doesn't end up at KU or something, I wish him the best.

During the UCLA-Stanford game tonight Dave asked Bill Walton what he thought about the possibility of hiring Fred. Interestingly, he had no comment on Fred. Instead, Bill stuck with his first choice-- Barack Obama.
Bill later said he only knew Fred personally, not professionally.

I know JLH personally, however not professionally.

God I miss Fred. Love that guy, wherever he ends up I’ll be cheering for him.

I wish Fred the best and have no ill will for him, but what I get less than the people that are harboring Fred bitterness, are the people that want to dump Prohm and get Fred back.

Rick Pitino Is A Top Target Of UCLA Boosters in Coaching Search

Casey Wasserman, a billionaire UCLA alum who was influential in the hiring of Chip Kelly as UCLA's new football coach, and John Branca, a graduate of the UCLA Law School and an entertainment lawyer who is the co-executor of Michael Jackson's Estate, both want Pitino, the source said.

"They're going after Pitino, that's their No. 1 choice," the source said.

"Casey Wasserman is the most powerful person at UCLA," the source added. "He runs everything."

Not me! I was bitter, and I do NOT want him back. And unless he starts coaching at one of the few schools I like, I will be indifferent to his success. And if he starts coaching at one of the many schools I hate (like the bulls), I have no problem cheering against that school. ;)

So I wonder if he'll use in state prostitutes or just send kids over to the Bunny Ranch in Nevada on recruiting trips?

I certainly wouldnt fire Prohm at this point to get Fred back. That would be massively unfair to Prohm. But if the job was open and Fred was available and willing? Absolutely would want that re-hire.

Sadly I can see this happening and when the inevitable investigation starts he'll claim he has no knowledge of any improprieties again.
