Will anyone be offended if I show up in my stinky dusty work clothes? Lol I dunno depends if we get the doomsday weather or not. Dont feel like being snowed in with wife all weekend lol. Already maybe putting a hold on the wrestling for the weekend
Looked pretty cool to see Drake blue on the jumbotrons and ribbon boards when we drove by this evening.
P.S. We have our tent set up. Ready to tailgate early on Saturday.
Good luck to those driving back into Minnesota after the game (like me). Looking at heavy snow, especially north of the MN/IA border and near white-out conditions in the afternoon/evening with gusts nudging 40 mph. Wetness of the snow may help mitigate that a bit. Most intense snow falls in that same timeframe too. Mix in NE Iowa, limiting both threats.

Does anybody know what bars in Ames will be showing the game--i.e. likely bars with Mediacom as their tv provider? Downtown Des Moines?
Whisky River and Ankeny has it. Saw it on their facebook page this morning. I assume that means Ames would also.
That has been my hot chocolate experience at every cold football venue I've ever been to.
You're right, karma isn't really the word I'm looking for.
We should have never scheduled a football game against Drake, and if there is a God, he/she is agreeing with that today with this weather.
VT is playing Marshall today because they had a game cancelled earlier as well, however, this game was not going to be played if VT had already been bowl eligible, that was the agreement. Well, VT has 5 wins, so they are playing it.
That is what JP should have done too with this game.
As I said, I just hope we win it and don't have a single injury.... that's all.
Maybe it doesnt mean anything but I always think 9 wins looks a lot better than 8 and 8 looks better than 7. In the grand scheme maybe the game is pointless. But I feel like a team trying to turn the corner that has pretty much no history any extra game in that win category is going to help MCs recruiting pitch.
This game means nothing in terms of what bowl game we get to. But if seeing one extra meaningless W on the record at the end of the year means something to you, then so be it.
