Great story behind this video. Replacements hated the idea of music videos. Label basically forced their hand to make one for 'The Ledge'. So they did, of them sitting around eating, smoking, and doing little else. Video didn't get released because of controversy surrounding the song itself. Loved this band.
Saw them at the Maintance Shop 4/6/1985 Paul the guy that used to work/run coop records and I sat and drank beer outside the doors before that show. One of the craziest nights ever from what I can recall of it.
Had same kind of experience seeing them at Col Ballroom in Davenport a few years later. Sweaty, grungy beer drenched night in a small venue, Westerberg told the crowd to **** off and cut the show short after some **** threw a can at them on stage.
This video is one that really emotes me back to the 80's for some reason.
