Hey @Cybirdy !

Were you in WDM/Jordan Creek area Monday afternoon? Saw a car that could've belonged to you around there. ISU vanities, and a window sticker I thought belonged to an NFL team, but realized it could have been your kiddos' school district.

So question for our farmer friends here. Long story short my cousin farms and he is scheduled to have a hip replacement in early November. I am debating reaching out to offer assistance but the catch is I have never driven any farm equipment but I can drive a manual and have driven very large dump trucks.

Should I reach out or will I just be in the way?
Never hurts to show you are willing to help.

Not exactly sure.

I wouldn't say it never hurts. I've asked if someone needed help and spent a couple days doing some really nasty work that I think the guy had been sitting on for a long time that he didn't want to do.

But in this situation, he should be fine. There are some things that can be done that keeps people close and allows you to monitor the equipment incase of issues.

One of the hardest things for me to get over in journalism is the singularity of teams. So the Iowa State football team IS playing West Virginia. Not ARE playing West Virginia. It’s pretty obvious it’s a singular team, but I always wanted to pluralize it because it sounds better to me that way.
It depends upon what your definition of is is.

Time to break out the birthday photos. I've never been a great gift receiver would prefer to not get them. I will be polite and positive but deep down wish they never gave anything.

I got a couple cards from the wife's side, I didn't open them for a couple days, but the wife was hounding me to open them and almost got mad that I hadn't yet. Her family stopped doing gifts, but when I'd get them, they would usually sit for a couple weeks and the kids would finally open them.

I prefer a card. Simple to look at it and then put it back in the envelope, let it sit a couple days and then recycle it. I must have ticked off the wife though, all I got was told happy bday right before leaving for the football game and then I got to buy supper for her mom and sister.

So Sig was Akron your one game back a yr thing or do you make a few FB games?

I was back for the Oklahoma and Akron games a few weeks ago. I had a layover "back on the farm" in the week with the nice weather between them.

Brought out Mrs. Sigma for her first game at Jack Trice for the Akron game -- she actually had a really good time and with my family for a few days, too.

I might be able to talk her into moving back to Iowa after all. :)

You win. More jiggly.

It is almost time for a good ol fashion thread shutting with JLH gif time.

Not this one of course, but some off the rails one.

I remember the JLH gif one was one about Kempt's sixth year. I don't remember which troll thread got hammered with the condiment discussion though. I did enjoy the guy yelling at people about messing with his thread.

Here is how I purchase clothes the few times I purchase non work clothes. My son used to get stuff from American Eagle, he no longer likes American Eagle. (Apparently happened awhile ago, but I just found out a little bit ago) I need to get another pair of jeans for casual wear. We have a $50 gift card to American Eagle laying around. So......that has determined that I will buy my jeans from American Eagle. I don't care how uncool they are.............hey, I'm not buying cargo anything so it's not like I'm saying that or anything.

Our Sienna needs new rear brakes. Watched a YouTube video on how to do it. Looks like I could save nearly $200 doing it that way...might even be worth buying the jacks/stands to do it.
