In my son's fantasy football league with his friends, they have a bet that the last-place finisher has to try out for cheerleading. My son is in last place. Am I a bad parent for thinking this is funny, hoping he loses, tries out for the cheerleading team and makes the cut just so that I can get a little more entertainment value out of it?

I wouldn't say it never hurts. I've asked if someone needed help and spent a couple days doing some really nasty work that I think the guy had been sitting on for a long time that he didn't want to do.

But in this situation, he should be fine. There are some things that can be done that keeps people close and allows you to monitor the equipment incase of issues.

Okay, I'll grant you that "never" might be a little strong. I mean't in the context that he'd be laid up. Maybe, be specific as to what help you'd be offering.

Were you in WDM/Jordan Creek area Monday afternoon? Saw a car that could've belonged to you around there. ISU vanities, and a window sticker I thought belonged to an NFL team, but realized it could have been your kiddos' school district.

Nope, neither one of our vehicles left the Ames/Gilbert metro.

Last 7th grade volleyball game last night. Our daughter plays on the C team and has been working on getting serves over all season. About 3/4 of the way through the season she had success. All the girls get so excited when the girls who struggle serving get serves over, imaging 45+ screaming 12-13yr olds in an enclosed gym. She gets about one over a game. Most of the time the girls on the court are so excited they don’t get set for receiving the ball and lose the point.

My urologist finished last in his fantasy league last season and had to wear women's clothing (including wig and make-up) to Buffalo Wild Wings in Ames on Super Bowl Sunday. Before my last surgery - on the table in the OR, no less - my anesthesiologist showed me a video on his phone of Dr. Korrect walking through the snow in the parking lot. Some guys came by and rolled their windows down and started yelling some really NSFW stuff at him.

Hilarious. The OR nurses loved it, too.
