Doesn't that has asbestos in it?

Possible, maybe even probable, that the solid panels that the heating element is wrapped around could contain asbestos. However, it's solid and not friable so it's not like you get airborne fibers. Friable and airborne is bad, solid and contained is pretty inert unless you disturb it by cutting or smashing (like building demo).

Some hairdryers, up until the 1980's, had asbestos insulation and they had air BLOWING over them.

This is pure ignorance on my part but do people really care about having pets so much that they wouldn't date someone that doesn't want pets?

I've never had pets growing up. I am allergic to Cats, Dogs, and Feathers/Birds. I don't really have the inclination to take care of something when I can barely take care of myself.

It just boggles my mind that something like that would be a hard no.

From my POV when I was a single mom: At that point I had had pets in my life for ten years (male Brittany), nine years (male cat), and eight years (female Brittany), it would have been very difficult to give them up.

Would I give up a pet for the sake of one of my children? Yes, painfully. For the sake of a date? No.

Fortunately I didn't have to make that choice.

90% of the time when I'm on my computer there is at least one cat between me & the keyboard. Right now, it's our old man Mel, 15 years young.

CF seems to finally be working and I am who I thought I was/am. Good thing, I was nervous I would become Carvers and I don't think I'd look good in lingerie. BTW, anybody on social media with Carvers? Convince her to get back on here.

Well I guess we should crown your ass then.

The Bears are what we thought they were. Th-they're what we thought they were. We played them in preseason. I mean, who the hell takes the third game of the preseason like it's ********? ********! We played them in the third game, everybody played three quarters... the Bears are who we thought they were! That’s why we took the damn field! Now, *hits microphone* if you want to crown them, then crown their ass! But, they are who we thought they were, and we let them off the hook!

Daughter had a pitching lesson this weekend (I'm the catcher, yay!), and the location is way out in Seneca (an hour from my home) in an outbuilding on a farm. Aside from the drive, I love going there because they have FARM CATS! I grew up with cats but can't have them anymore because the rest of the household is allergic to them.
The little tigerstripe girl that I held and petted this weekend was purring up a storm.

We used to play Sheepshead at my summer job, when I was in college. It's been 35 years ago, but seems to me it was a lot like the game in the rural Des Moines area called Pitch.
I grew up playing 4 point pitch with my dad's side of the family. High, Low, Jack, and Game. I don't know how people keep track of all the points in 10 point pitch.

I prefer dogs, but I like cats, and owned a couple in my earlier days. The thing that is really nice about cats is you don't have to find someone else to take care of them if you are going away. When Wifey-poo wanted another dog (about 2 years after our Sadie died), I tried to explain this to her (and my youngest daughter). I'm sure you know who won that battle. And guess who is in charge of lining up dog sitters, now that we are having to travel out of town for various things?o_O

4-point pitch is the overwhelming favorite up here in Dodge. Cow and a calf are the usual stakes (dollar a game, half a dollar per set). It's OK, but sheepshead is a lot more cerebral. Kind of like bridge - you have to pay attention.

That's what I played, couple nights when I was on a roll me and my partner would play for $100/$50, but usually only for $5/$2.50. $100 would be for winning the game and $50 for each time we set the opponents.

Got it. I had heard the, they are who we thought they are quote of his, but hadn't heard the rest.
I actually paid attention to the NFL back then, and pretended to be a Bears fan. I was watching that entire glorious fourth quarter live, as well as the postgame meltdown by Dennis Green.

After meeting too many other Bears fans, I don't like them as much anymore. Plus, the team ownership is clueless. But, there are too many guys here who *are* Bears fans, so having this knowledge helps out on dates.

I think I just like being an abused NFL fan. Before adopting the Bears, I grew up a Bills fan. Without a local team in Iowa to adopt, I chose to be a Bills fan because my favorite college player (Cornelius Bennett) played there. Lived through the four Super Bowl losses in a row, and the Music City Miracle (bad call, btw!) killed me.

We add Jick (off-Jack) and Joker. Rank is Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Jick, Joker, then 10 down to 2. I can't remember the other four PapaLew's family plays (but they're wrong anyway!).
