How would you rank our position groups?

Who started in the Liberty Bowl last year? (Honest question, as I can't seem to find anything other than the starters were out) Were they both seniors too? CMC was pretty high on the JC kid, and I have not heard anything negative to be concerned about him. Braxton Lewis has done a pretty good job back there when called on.

I should have said "almost" all new. Lewis did do a good job in the bowl game.

Yep, I was extremely nervous for the game when I heard both starting safeties (Edwards - ineligible (grades?) and KCM - team rules) were out for the Liberty Bowl. Both were seniors anyway, so we were already in this spot for 2018.

If I remember correctly, Lawrence White and Braxton Lewis got the starts.

Didn’t we have an injury in that game, too? Maybe to Payne or Ruth?

With Ruth and Lewis available to play safety if needed, the floor is known imo and fairly high. If other guys are starting they’re likely good.
I don’t think we can say that about the OL and run blocking.

Here's my take:

1. Running back
2. Defensive Line (depth gives them an edge over CB)
3. Corner back
4. Wide Receiver
5. Linebacker (2 All-Big 12 players)
6. Quarterback
7. Safety
8. Offensive Line
9. Kicker/Punter (Total unknown)

How would you rank them?
I think you totally nailed it. Good job.

Isn't it ironic that our two best coaches (Campbell and Heacock) are known for coaching the two position groups that are considered one of our weakest...

OL and Safety

I WOULD put QB at 1 or 2. We have a very talented group, with leadership qualities, and I expect Kyle to have a magical season and end up as an NFL draft surprise pick. Of course I thought maybe Park would do that last year. But Kempt has the better track record to start the year than Park had plus he has intelligence and "touch" on the ball that Park never demonstrated.

When listening to the FAWCAST, Chris mentioned that KCM graded out as the worst defender (starter) because he was out of position a lot. We might see quite a bit of improvement from last year at the safety position.

I was going to post something similar. In his defense he spent 3 years covering up tons of mistakes in front of him, especially in the running game. He didn't trust the guys in front a lot, and it is easy to understand why. Last year he got burned several times on play action.

Like when the entire stadium except KCM knew KSU was going to throw that pop pass on the goal line last year. My God..
