I got a job today doing financial research... I start monday, not ultimately what I want to do forever but will get some good skills on a resume. Plus my landlord doesnt accept high fives so getting paid is good.
On Sunday, walking into my kid's sporting event, we just get across the parking lot when some jack-wagon going way too fast in a sportscar pulls in, whips around the corner (seriously, if some kid had been there he would have hit him) and parks in a handicapped spot -- no handicap tags. Driving shirtless.

And polished off both cause I got a big sad on watching Anthony Bourdain in the Dominican Republic. Love those shows and going to miss them a LOT.

We got a whopping quarter of an inch a few nights ago, which matched our entire total for the rest of July. Pretty grim but not as bad as last year yet.
Bauder’s peach is pretty good but my Mom’s was better.
Been deceptively dry here. Cloudy more days than not and threatens to rain every few days but most of the big stuff scoots south or north of the cities. Didn't think about it much until I thought that I haven't mowed the lawn in like two or three weeks. Also spied that my rhododendron, that's still in a pot, was totes shriveled up from lack o'water. Gave it a drink and it is was not totes dead, more like mostly dead is still partly alive.
watching a show with women with large hair, still part of me that likes it. Must be a remembering my youth. Getting old.

Who knows? I don't think we even got the quarter inch that carvers got the other night. The last significant rain we got was tornado day. I just started noting this past week how brown and dry everything is.
