I do agree that James Gunn understands where Disney is coming from. Truthfully, I think James is making the right moves on how best to handle this with what he has said so far at least.

Agreed. He's taking the high road, which is the smart play because the anger and indignation is coming in spades from others. I saw Patton Oswalt, among others, has been publicly supportive of Gunn.

Yeah, take a look at the link I shared which show's Sean Gunn's response, which is also a great high road approach.

Yeah, I read through it. Thoughtful and honest.

I don't know what the answer is for sure - there's a balance of being held accountable and appropriate punishment that we haven't quite found yet. Disney was put in a no-win situation (and they were partly responsible for that considering how the Roseanne situation was handled. Their reaction to that incident more or less et the precedent for how they were going to operate going forward).

I guess the lesson here is to think before you tweet. Or better still, don't tweet at all.

Yeah, people need to remember that this situation isn't just happening in a vacuum and that what Disney had to face just a few weeks ago with Roseanne Barr absolutely affects what happened with Gunn. Again, while they aren't the exact scenario, one definitely does affect the other.

On a separate note, if one net affect from all of this is that people think twice about what they say in social media, that isn't a terrible thing. I wish people would also think twice about what they say in general, but that ain't gonna happen, so I'll at least just take some changes to the social media. Personally, I'm sure not everyone loves my posts or necessarily what I have to say (that's ok), but I will say I do at least put a lot of thought into them and really try to always be respectful in all of them.

And the fallout continues from the James Gunn situation. I can only imagine how many nervous celebrities there are out there right now as they and their PR teams frantically search and delete within their social media histories. Anyone with skills in wiping out internet histories could probably make a killing right now.

I'm thinking about doing a good scrub on my facebook account when I get home tonight, and I'm not even famous! I've had the damn thing for a decade now and I know I'm not the same person I was ten years ago.

My list is for all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (nothing outside this cinematic universe), whether it be TV or movies. My guess is you are possibly confused by the inclusion of someone like Ghost Rider, but that would probably be because you don't watch Agents of Shield, which has had the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider appear in it. So, if you aren't watching it, you are missing out. To me, it is unquestionable that the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider on that show is by far the best version of Ghost Rider we've seen come to either film or TV yet. He is awesome.

Waiting List: Captain Marvel

The Starlin cosmic comics (Infinity series/Thanos/Surfer/Capt Marvel) were always my favorites and since Silver Surfer and apparently Adam Warlock won't be allowed I'm pretty sure Captain Marvel will crack the top ten.

My theory is that my #3 is going to essentially be Warlock. Not sure if it's an actual web theory but it's mine.

Nice list. I can appreciate all of those for sure. Little surprised Captain America doesn't even crack your list at all.

There's a MCU Daredevil?

The only one I know is the old, stinky Ben Affleck one.

It's weird, I enjoy the two movies a lot without really liking the character. Probably because I was never a huge fan growing up and had 100s of other Marvel comics. It was pretty much the norm in the 80s and 90s to ignore Captain America and the Avengers in favor of X-Men, Punisher, and Spider-Man. I was a pretty big outlier in the fact that I read and collected Iron Man in the early 90s. Hulk was a little more popular than Iron Man/Cap but still not not on the level of those others.

If you like kung fu movies I'd highly recommend it. It's effectively a martial arts series, some of the best fight choreography I've seen including movies.

Kingpin villain is probably only second to Thanos on my MCU villain ranking if we did that next.

Yeah, all the Marvel Netflix shows like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luck Cage, Iron Fist are all part of the same MCU universe too and fair game for the list. Shoot, now we've also got Runaways on Hulu and Cloak and Dagger on Freeform too, which are all included as well.

If I were to delve even deeper, I should have specified my Ghost Rider as the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider because the Johnny Blaze Ghost rider also makes a very short appearance in the TV show as well, so it is canon that he exists.

Cloak and Dagger is moving up my Marvel series list. Show is better than most so far. Not as good as Punisher, Daredevil or AOS (Later seasons) but certainly a unique concept.

Hmmm, just looked back at my list and see that it is all entirely dudes. However, in my defense, Black Widow was probably next after Punisher to make the list, and I also think very highly of Mockingbird and Agent Carter. They all would probably be next in line. I think just give it time too as it would be surprising if Captain Marvel doesn't eventually pop in there.
