How short he was with his answer makes me wonder if Bain knows more but doesn’t want to divulge at this point in time.
I still can't figure out what Bain knows in general. Sometimes it feels like he's got some connections and others I think he's just guessing
There's also a few guys talking about leeches/leaches.
I don't think you can blame anybody for this one. It is the oddest "sorta" commitment ever and there's essentially no info.

So on one hand we have Chris Williams saying it's real. We have Snapchats showing him with the Cyclone logo's and commiting. On the other we have someone saying he is not part of the class. Im so confused.
Both are accurate as of today. Leech hasn't committed or at least the staff hasn't accepted the commitment. As CW said earlier in this thread things are in motion and it appears is could happen. Until the moving parts get set though the official word from the MBB is no comment.
Same thoughts on Bain and his contacts. I believe he has a couple of sources close to the program and AAU but being new to the local recruiting scene hasn't gotten his radar fully set on reading what is true and false from his sources on the staff's intent. Bain got hired to report the EIU and ISU's recruiting thus needs to put out weekly content leading to speculation with the local targets getting more attention especially for recruits both programs are offering.
For example, I never thought Carton was the staff's PG priority and over stated the mutual interest. I also have a hard time thinking Terry is the staff's 1 priority over Tandy, Lewis or McKinnley. Terry is a good prospect but if given his choice of the 4 I doubt Prohm would choose TT. JMO
I agree with this. Terry is a good prospect, but I think he lacks in the jump shot area. I think Prohm prefers 1's that can also be 2's.
However this pans out, it's already such an ISU-like recruitment.
I'm pretty sure Bain was sending a message by immediately following his comment/no comment on Leech with the question on off the record information that he can't report.

Yeah I think Terry would be a great addition. However, I think Tandy is the main recruit the staff is after. I also think there are several recruits out there that our recruiting experts don't know about yet.
If I had to guess with Leech, it looks like we like him and he likes us, even to the point of committing. Looks like we might still be dotting some eyes and crossing some tees on making sure he is healthy or going to be healthy, though. Sounds like there could be some other academic or disciplinary issues in the background, too.
I am okay with the staff taking a shot on an upside guy like this, though. Sticking with Cameron Lard for so long seems to be paying off, after all.
