The "in crowd" girls (women) who still live in the area have arranged each of ours. Each one has been at an increasingly expensive place. For the 40 year, they had it at this hotspit hotel ballroom. $300 got us a "dinner" of finger foods and five classmates still playing together as a cover band. Cash bar. There was a discount on rooms for those who wanted to stay the night (which for my class was probably a good idea, as most of them should NOT have been driving post party). The rooms were "only" $250, instead of $275. Big whoop. We didn't stay there. Our class president had nothing to do with our reunions. Luckily, the student body president or others have stepped up for each reunion.
I told PapaLew if we have a 50th, it better be a cruise or in Hawaii or something; if we're going to pay ridiculous prices, I want to be able to do more than sit around and watch old people get drunk.
