I suppose those things are possible. Looks like some good old Fort Dodge hardscrabble, maybe, though.
I'm certainly not denying that I could have seen this image in high school. In fact, with all the factory closings it was practically the plot of a movie of a small town struggling with its lost identity. I remember when the frustrated local clergyman (probably @SCyclone 's dad) had dancing outlawed. Here is a video of my angst-riddled self rebelliously dancing in the abandoned Hormel plant.

In related news look who is 7 months now! Also don't tell that other thread that she is using the same crib as her brother which was bought at Target which is where we got her dresser too. The chair she is in is an old La-Z-Boy that we got from my grandparents and put a cover from Amazon on.

Edit: The crib does have her brothers teeth marks on it near one corner.
I live for pictures of that little girl's hair!

Not exactly sure.
I may not have the best reading comprehension.

I just see random words and take from it what I want to. Sometimes I add my own words, sometimes I basically ignore all the words and just believe what sounds good to me. To some it is considered living in a dream world or my own little world, to others it's considered surviving being a husband.

I have connections to Boxster's hometown but I wouldn't call it my hometown (depending on how you define it).

I think that I have been there more recently than Boxster, however.

You have found a way to come as close to Utopia as this world will ever know. Kudos.

Well, my oldest daughter turned 17 today. She's an amazing girl. I'm not sure how she managed to acquire all that maturity in 17 years that I haven't acquired in 50 years (minus 6 days).
Take heart. PapaLew is 63 and he STILL hasn't acquired it. :D

Cutie!

I decided to stay out of the crib discussion. You have money and that is the way you want to spend it, fine. But admitting that is how much you are spending looks a little silly. When our oldest was due hubby was inbetween jobs but we "splurged" (like $350 maybe?) on an Italian crib from a baby store in the cities. Don't ask me why Italian was better, but it was a nice crib. Until they recalled all cribs with drop sides (loved that feature!) but we used the fix they gave us and used that crib for at least 8-10yrs total. The dresser we bought cheap, and that is still being used 15 years later. The next kid we bought a dresser at KMart and again, still in use 12 years later.
