It's thick and heavy up in Floyd. I'm supposed to go help grill lunch at a tractor show this morning, but of course it is all old people who will probably drive there because they want to see the tractors.
Woke up to no snow in the Cresco/Decorah area. Judging from Snapchat, New Hampton got pounded. The line must be running northwest to southeast.
Relatively fortunate here south of Waterloo. 3 or 4 inches. You drive just half hour north to Denver and 9 or 10. Crazy!
No snow here either.
Coworker posted pictures from Austin and Albert Lea and it's definitely not the same story there.
I’m south of New Hampton / CC about 20 miles and we’ve got at least a foot and it’s still coming down.
Not sure why ames is in storm warning its barely snowing and not much snow at all, no way we get 6-10. North of here 50 miles not good.
I’m less than 10 miles from Ames and that’s not the case here. Snowing hard and we’ve got at least 2 inches already. Looking at how the system is rotating it’s not hard to see how we could get 6 inches.
I'm not sure what you are looking at. It may not amount to much in the end but is most certainly snowing hard.
6" and still falling hard in cedar county. I80 and the local hwy are in rough shape currently, basically an ice/slush layer covered in snow right now.
Edit: I80 west bound at West branch currently closed due to accident.
