5 guys with some form of the name Jalen in the top 50 of 247. 3 in the top 12. Should have named my son Jalen apparently

Can I ask if any of you Iowa residents hear much buzz about IC Regina's Even Brauns? (Rivals profile: https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2020/even-brauns-208418). He's a 2020 recruit and I know he's been around the Iowa program. I know his family some and his mom definitely has ties to TOE (she even knows J. Uthoff) but I was wondering if he had much of a recruiting buzz in the state. I've only seen clips and he looked very good in those (AAU in 9th grade). He'd be a good citizen and student, that I know.

If there are good in-state recruits, I prefer ISU to get them ...

I’m not in the know or anything but from what I’ve seen he’s pretty much Iowa’s if they want him. Plus he’s transferring to Iowa City West and will play with Patrick McCaffery. Wisconsin might also be in the mix too. But I wouldn’t get my hopes up with him and ISU.

An kid growing up with UIowa ties and familiarity....isn't worth mentioning them even looking at ISU. Fran's pipeline. Can't think of one single recruit that chose ISU that grew up an Iowa fan. Which makes sense. Haluska did for one season, but re-routed in a hurry, so in my mind he doesn't count. lol
