How about Blondies. Haven't seen that one on here yet though I'm sure none of us went to a nasty strip club in college.

Along with McDonalds (where the Cy's and Fries conveniently has the same colors) and some other stuff. That was really a dramatic change from the old cafeteria sort of thing it used to be.
Remember the old debates about turning the Hub into a McDonald's, and whether exhaust or whatever from that potential McD's would be deterimental to book preservation in Parks?
Of course, now about anything goes in Parks, but there's no McDs next door.
I typed Fox Lounge in the search. All sorts of posts are there.Search function let me down unless it took me to the most recent post, which is highly likely.
Mongolian Buffet was a Big Bear store.Yeah that was a Ramada. Where Mongolian Buffet is I believe there was a HoJo.
Thumbs Up was located across the alley North of the Dairy Queen. DQ is now Fighting Burrito and Thumbs Up is now Subway and maybe the business North of Subway. Thumbs Up started as pizza place on the ground level and a bar in the basement. The Thumbs Up building was a pizza chain called The Green Pepper prior to Thumbs Up. My uncle was an owner. Thumbs was started when the landlords started wanting too much for rent on Welch. The Alibi was what is now Outlaws. Thumbs Up was on Welch I think Mickey's Irish Pub.
(Getting these names off of Google maps so I'm not sure if they are current)
Hotel where Ford dealer is now located was the El Rancho, we always called it the the El Rauncho2. Hombre's was where Johnny's was at which used to be a hotel where Best Buy and the small strip mall is at. There was motel where the Ford dealer is currently at a buddy from college parent's ran it. There was the Silver Saddle motel were Old Chicago is currently at.
Was Blondies on South Duff where Wendy's in now? In the 80's it was Foxy Lady. How about Blondies. Haven't seen that one on here yet though I'm sure none of us went to a nasty strip club in college.
The xxx theater was either next to the bank or 2 businesses east. That corner has been a bank since 76 at leastWas Blondies on South Duff where Wendy's in now? In the 80's it was Foxy Lady.
Before my time at ISU but I think I remember the bank on the corner Lincolnway and Hayward was a xxx theater. The first time I was at ISU my uncle took me past there because we were going over to watch as they were tearing down Clyde Williams Field. I also remember we ate at Pizza Hut that night which was West of the West HyVee (which was Kmart). Pizza Hut is now Indian Delight's. The original Keg Shop was on the corner where HyVee gas is now. The Keg Shop was basically a one stall garage.
2. Hombre's was where Johnny's was at which used to be a hotel where Best Buy and the small strip mall is at. .
Can't believe there haven't been more mentions of Hunky Dory's. Some of the best bands of the 90's rolled through there. Ponchero's on Welch was my 1st, I was drunk from watching ISU/KU bball and absolutely amazed that I could buy a burrito that big. If i remember correctly, I made way too big of a deal about it at the time. Big Earls on Duff was a dump, but always left with a funny story. Oh, ya and can't forget the truck stop. (Across hwy 30 from the Kum&Go for whoever 8 pages back didn't know location)
Why do I feel like the University has doubled in students in the last 30, 40 years and the number of bars has halved?
Not to sound like a stereotypical old guy, but it's because kids today are dorks and virgins and they think that makes them cool.
19 to 21 has something to do with it.Why do I feel like the University has doubled in students in the last 30, 40 years and the number of bars has halved?

This does make you sound old and clueless about how anyone under the age of 35 acts.
