***Official 2018 NCAA Tourney Thread***

I'm interested in:

Clemson (5) vs New Mexico State (12) upset alert?
Nevada (7) vs Texas (10) Big 12 connection, I think Texas could be in trouble here
Creighton (8) vs Kansas State (9) lots of connections here, but pulling for the Big 12 (even Bruce)
I'm most interested in the Big 12 today (naturally).

I don't like any of the match ups today for the conference.

TCU is about to catch Syracuse and their "lightning in a bottle" for undeservingly getting into the tourney.

Kansas State is facing a team with better guards than they have (one of which played for KSU and Bruce, a fact that I love).

Texas hasn't shown they should win against Nevada.

WVU's style of play can be good or bad depending on the day/crew working the game.

Nugget: Since formation of Big 12 in 96-97, Pac-12 is first major conference (power-5 plus Big East) that didn’t have at least one team advance to round-of-32.

That's not going to help their financial situation either. Last year, each game was worth $1.7m over six years. So last year they had 14 games = $23.8m. This year, 3 games = $5.1. With each season distributed over six years it doesn't hurt as bad, but that's real money their suckiness loses.

Let's start off the day with a little Friars from Providence action! Get up #FriarNation!

Agree am I the only on that had them losing next round to the "sleaze balls"?

Yeah, I generally keep my bracket pretty chalky but my big fades for this tourney were Arizona and Michigan. They got real trendy. Arizona was getting 9-1 odds to win it all on bovada a couple of days ago. Anybody that gambled on that was a fool easily parted with their money.

Nevada lost their PG and wasn’t deep to begin with so I don’t think they’re a very strong 7 seed.

I do regret picking UT over them already though.

Michigan and Zona were getting too much love from national people simply because they won their conference tournaments, forgetting that 1) conference tournaments don't really mean anything and 2) they were both bad conferences this year.

Jim Nance just called Prov-A&M a battle of the Big East and the Big XII. As I get older somehow I managed to become less tolerate or weak announcers & Refs.

Murray St to beat WVU?

I am going with the guard play today.

For me thats Creighton, Syracuse, WVU and Nevada.

West Virginia will probably win but I had to take a chance on a 5-12 upset.

I think the tourney experience of Boheim and Syracuse will win out over a team making their first appearance.

Creighton-KState seems like a tossup.

I think Nevada is overseeded. Texas has a history of not showing up in this thing so there's that.
