Welcome back to On That Note, MeanDean/cyclones500 music-exploration series.

This week, I borrow an idea from @MeanDean. What songs consistently uplift your spirit or boost your outlook? Even if you're down, does it bring at least temporary positivity?

As MeanDean describes it, “…. How you can you listen to it and not feel good?”

Musically, this never fails for me. Lyrically, at risk of over-analysis, it has another layer of depth, “cloudy” undertone that doesn’t override the surface-tune. Joy can wax/wane, embrace it when it happens.

A couple of years ago I was at a show and they were playing this between sets with some other Prince stuff...I never listened to a ton of Prince but I remember thinking how you can't help but have fun listening to a lot of it.
