I'm learning to hate gift cards. We have to have close to a grand worth of them laying around. Don't know what has been used, whose is whose and such. I keep mine in a certain spot, so i know where mine are. Kids get them for birthdays, chirstmas, valentines and such. Wife gets them as gifts for helping with things or from her kids for christmas and such type gifts.
I just pulled a Visa debit gift card out from a pile of financial papers I've been working on. These are usually more than the 25 buck casey cards I see. In 10 years, if they don't go bad, I may be able to retire if I grab all these extra cards.

I started putting my gift cards into Google wallet a couple years ago. Super convenient.
She wants to go into Pre-med.
We are going to take a good look at Wisconsin and there is the possibility of reduced tuition for Minnesota residents. I think she's a bit concerned about the cliche of Twin Cities suburban kids going to Wisconsin to party (she's way more responsible than me). She wants to look at Northwestern and U of Chicago but it's evidently really hard to get much financial aid at Northwestern and it's really difficult to get into the U of Chicago. Also, Mom and Dad aren't too keen on her living in that neighborhood of Chicago. She's from a large high school and prefers to go to a large school but seems willing to go to a small school in a big city if it feels right. Ultimately, she'll probably end up at Minnesota.
That probably means our comforter was clean, too. Generally, when I clean the ceiling fan, all the dust ends up falling on the comforter and we end up washing the duvet at that time, too.
This sounds like our kids' baby teeth. I have about a thousand of them in a dresser drawer and only know which teeth belong to which kid in a couple of cases.
This probably sounds a bit more morbid than I meant it to.

Niece is deciding (very soon now) which med school she will attend next year. She has been accepted in a couple Chicago ones (think U of C yes but not northwestern). She hated Chicago in general so she has walked away from any of those schools. Decent chance she takes the Des Moines Universtiy offer unless........cough........cough..... (i'm gagging here) UofI happens.
She was looking at Columbia but due to distance, ended up at Duluth for the first couple years. She loved Wartburg, but heard it was harder to get into TOE from an instate school so flipped to Duluth. Due to medial conditions (having a kidney fail in the middle of school) she moved to Winona to be closer to Rochester and home.
She wans to be a pediatrician but willing to do rural settings since she's from a smaller town (Austin) and knows it will pay most of her schooling and open up nearly guaranteed jobs.
She complained about the curse of being a white middle-class female for getting accepted into certain schools (even though I don't call my sis and BIL middle class, they aren't the $1MM donor class)

Since it's been determined that @carvers4math and I are just two separate personalities of the same person, this makes sense. I have 3 kids and Carvers has 47.
I thought Carvers was your wife. I always think of a lady in a teddy handing out cookies to motorists when i see Carver's responses. I will just feel ill with that image of you doing that now.

Minnesota would be a good choice, my two best friends from high school went there and loved it. I'm just biased because I love Madison a lot more than the twin cities
