I'm learning to hate gift cards. We have to have close to a grand worth of them laying around. Don't know what has been used, whose is whose and such. I keep mine in a certain spot, so i know where mine are. Kids get them for birthdays, chirstmas, valentines and such. Wife gets them as gifts for helping with things or from her kids for christmas and such type gifts.
I just pulled a Visa debit gift card out from a pile of financial papers I've been working on. These are usually more than the 25 buck casey cards I see. In 10 years, if they don't go bad, I may be able to retire if I grab all these extra cards.
