Recruits stats and Senior performance

Idk if its his length or whatever but when THT dunks, the hoops looks like its about 8ft tall. He's a grown man playing with boys. Just a bully. Like I kind of feel bad for the kids that have to play against him.
Which is quite impressive given that he is more often than not going up against the best teams in Chicago and sometimes the nation in tournaments, yet doesn't have a drop in production at all.

Example of when great offense beats good defense.
He knew that's what he wanted the whole time. The defender was quick, but he had five inches on him.

I love THT's decisiveness and confidence. If they're probably going to get an open three on that possession (if he drives and kicks), THT might as well take it himself. There's a difference between hero ball and making the smart play that happens to be calling your own number.

"Simeon Career Academy's high school basketball team hasn't really been tested in-state. Even with an unbelievably tough schedule, Simeon's closest game was a 17 point win at Fenwick.
In the CPS quarterfinals, Simeon hosted Uplift, a small school on the city's north side led by 2019 Kansas commit Markese Jacobs.
It was also senior night. The seniors shined. Iowa State commit Talen Horton-Tucker continues his stat-stuffing senior season with 27 points, 14 rebounds.
It was an extra special game for Tucker who grew up on the city's North side (in Uplift's neighborhood). So both teams knew each other well.
Talen literally grew up and learned the game of basketball in Uplift's gym. Now, years later he's leading #1 Simeon against Uplift in the city playoffs..."

Good find. I’m sure that was a big game for THT. Basically playing your neighborhood school.

Without researching, is this basically indicating these are the top 3 players in Wisc? And Gard didn't get any of them? Bet that doesn't happen often.
Do not want to jump to conclusions, but I think Wisky bb May be on the decline. An outsider might say the same about ISU, so it may not be a fair assessment,

I don't know enough about them to say for sure. This may be a similar rebuilding year for them to what we are having, although we're struggling against a much tougher schedule. Next year will probably tell.

That spin at 3:00 was disgusting.

I don’t follow Wisconsin closely, but from afar it seemed like a program that was going to struggle to have the extremely high level of success from the Bo Ryan system without Bo Ryan. How many years did they over-perform with guys only at Wisconsin would be good Big 10 guys?

I imagine many would say the same about Fred and his transfers, and I guess they were proven correct this year. I’d like to assume that Shayok, Jacobson, Talley, and possibly a grad transfer will show it was a one year blip.

Outsiders don’t care, but we know that class imbalance meant recruiting couldn’t have many missteps to not have a drop off this year, but that there was also an incentive to take reaches and further imbalance the roster in order to maximize the last year of MM, Thomas, Naz, and Burton. Add a Shayok type instead of Holden (or Kasongo) in spring of 2016 and this year is likely different without changing last year.

FINAL: @northhoops 88 @Kaukaunabball 67 Tyrese Haliburton 42 points Jordan McCabe 33 points #wisbb
From a poster on Wisconsin board that went to the game:

Haliburton is pure athlete. With that comes some out of control. His jumper is a push shot with side spin. And, for a point guard, his ball handling skills are a bit loose. Wow, can he jump. Big upside! I would think he's more of a 2/3 in college.

That further makes me view Haliburton as a more athletic DG. As a tall pg, DG as a freshman had a little loose handle and questionable shot.

He doesn’t look quick enough to be a PG from what I’ve seen.

I think he’ll make a nice wing player when he fills out though.

I would definitely still be on the lookout for a PG if I were Prohm.
