We had twin beds - they were hand-me-downs from my Dad and his brother. I remember the first time I saw a king size bed.....I thought it was immense.
We had full-sized beds growing up, but that was mostly because my older sibs had to share a bed. By the time I got older, they went to college and I had a room and bed to myself. Suckers!
In college, my 6'2" self had no trouble sleeping in a lofted twin bed. I never really minded having my feet hang off the end of the bed or my legs sprawled all over the place, though. I sometimes still wake up with a leg dangled off the side of our king bed.

I think king size beds are kind of exhausting. I’m tired, I don’t want to roll over four times to hit the alarm.

Sleep on your side of the bed then instead of trying to steal your husbands space and you will be fine.
That's the difference between men and women. Women get 90% of a bed's area regardless of size. If we had a king size bed, i'd still only get a sliver.
The only way to watch movies like this is on Mystery Science Theater 3000 or their later counterpart Rifftrax.
It get's worse when you add in the dog's space.
