I guess I never thought about this but Jack Trice played/died in 1923 so Snyder did coach against him. Whoa crazy connections. And how many other coaches can claim that they now coach in a stadium named after a player they coached against?He tells them stories about how he fought for the north to free the slaves. The resonates well with young African American players. Tells people about how when he came to Ames and was coaching at Iowa, he saw a Young Jack Trice and knew he would be special.
Not a whole lot of coaching experience. Hope he is a quick learner and can keep the running backs on par with current progress.
