I called in. All my questions about Coleman and storr had been answered. I asked him if David Carr would redshirt. Coach said yes, it would be best for his development and 157 is his weight . I then asked if Chase had the body to move up to 165 and he said no. I also asked about recruiting and what weights needed to be addressed and coach said we’ll take any good wrestler at any weight.

So assuming Coleman is 174 who is the 165 of the future based on who we have/have coming in? No way to guess whether Foca can make it right?

Possibly Jennings or DiBlasi, as far as incoming recruits I do not know. We are working our way into the toe system where our starters and backups will give you a tough match and bonus points will be hard to come by. I love it, but we needed a little toughening up.

Gotta admit, I'm really bummed by this. I really thought he was going to be the leader of this resurgence. Yeah, he's had a bit of a tough go this year, but none of his losses were to terrible competition. Probably about what we'd expect from a RS FR. There was plenty of time to get it together before nationals.

Did the Paulson brothers get him here in the first place? Just wondering for possible landing spots

Anyone have any insider info? This comes at a huge shock to me.
Seems that everyone is keeping this tight lipped for right now. Just taking a stab here but I think this has been a tougher transition then Storr imagined. Maybe he did not really see eye to eye and maybe the tongue lashing among other things were icing on the cake and sent it over the top.

Interpret this loss any way you want, but losing our best starter mid season is a VERY bad look for Iowa State wrestling.

Makes me wonder how bad must things in that room be to for Storr to leave now?

You can interpret any way YOU want, doesn’t make your opinion right. The staff is setting a standard in the program and if the “best” wrestler in the room can’t meet those standards it doesn’t make it a “VERY” bad look in my mind. It shows this staff is looking for certain attittudes and work ethics.

You can go back to the Iowa board anytime now. Thanks for stopping by.
