Thanks for the reminder. Looks like you pretty much took the cake this year DMClone. Pretty miserable year and we did not have as many picks. I took the winner in the worst speculation category. I used Yahoo data and only went back to picks early in the year.

Well, at least I wasn't the biggest loser. My 2018 pick (which I actually bought into a couple months ago):

Aphria Inc. (APHQF)

Had to look that one up, lol. Just not so sure on these pot stocks as its really easy to grow a weed. So it is all up in the air on government regulations but that is heading in a good direction. However, at some point maybe they just allow people to grow their own? Although that would take away their tax revenue so it would be unlikely.

In CO you can have a certain number of plants, I forget the number though. I think it's honestly a PITA and the commercial growers can do more with the genetic mods. It's probably the equivalent of a farmer replanting his own seed corn vs. buying it from a dealer who's job it is to make it better.

Some people recommend buying Scott's Miracle Grow because of this.

Dang, talk about timing, my last place pick from last year is finally bouncing. Up 1.10 (25% today with them finally getting a trial in the US for the theft of technology by a Chinese company. Still not near the start of last year but this bounce could have some legs. Will probably dump the stock when this bounce gets tired as their execs have not been impressive.

I guess after looking over my watch lists and stocks I'm going to swing for the fence this year with a stock that really paid off during the last tech bubble. That and with Trump coming in and talking tough with China I like American Superconductor, AMSC trading at 7.36.

Also considered DDD, and more of a value play in GME that I really like. Also like strong dollar UUP this year but that just won't move enough for this contest.

Well I think my idea was sound with AMSC but it took some time and to actually see some money from China stealing their trade secrets. They appear to have survived and the stock is breaking out now. Now up to 11.79. I put in a sell order on ~1/3 of my shares to cover all costs if it sells around the $17 area.
