Alabama DC Jeremy Pruitt has accepted the job as Tennessee's new coach. Details are still being ironed out, sources said, but the deal is basically done. He has coached in Alabama HS ranks for 8 years and in college for 11 years, 8 at Alabama

Why is Herm Edwards still on ESPN? Shouldn't he be working on getting his staff set up and hitting the recruiting trail? It was already a stupid hire to begin with, if I was an ASU fan I'd be pissed that he's not doing his job.

That is a great question for the ASU AD. My guess is that "his highness", the AD, would tell you to mind you own business. My personal best guess is that the AD and the football coach will be shown the door withing 4 years.

ESPN article with details Schiano's contract with Tennessee.

http://www.espn.com/college-footbal...ned-277m-6-plus-years-scrapped-tennessee-deal

Greg Schiano would have earned $27.7 million in a proposed deal of six-plus years with Tennessee before the deal fell apart because of uproar from fans and on social media.

...

ESPN had reported last month that the MOU was never signed by Chancellor Beverly Davenport, which was likely to lead to a battle over whether Tennessee owed Schiano any money.

The MOU, which ESPN obtained through an open records request, says the terms are binding and does not say that the lack of a signature by any party makes it invalid. But a spokesperson for the school said the document also was never signed by Tennessee's chief financial officer, David Miller, which the school says makes the contract invalid.

...

It is still not known whether Schiano is making any kind of claim based on what was represented to him. If he believes he was in fact hired, and then fired without cause, he would be owed 75 percent of the contract, which would equal $20.7 million.

Attempts to contact Schiano's agent, Jimmy Sexton, were unsuccessful.
I bolded Jimmy Sexton's name, because he is going to get his money out of Tennessee. Sexton represents 11 coaches in the SEC, and he also represented Jim McElwain when he was bought out by Florida.
