Montgomery named PFF first-team All-American

Doesn’t surprise me. PFF has had a man crush on Montgomery for quite a while. Can’t blame them. Pretty sure they had him passing Barkley for the top RB by midway through the season. They did have him behind Bryce Love for a little bit I guess.

It'll be interesting to see how he projects as a pro. I'm wondering when ISU's streak of not having a first-rounder will be broken.

He's the complete package at tailback, and particularly proficient at blocking his position, which many college ballers are not. Pro scouts want to see more than gaudy stats, everybody at that level can run and catch the ball.

The guy had 104 forced missed tackles, over 250 touches without a fumble, 35 catches, only 200 yards before contact on the season and one of the best blocking grades in the nation for a running back. The man crush is definitely well justified.

Cracks me up to see all of people who don't understand that PFF is all metrics and statistics get butthurt why their guy did not get on the team.

Yeah, there are some guys on that list that most people probably haven't even heard of, such as Anthony Johnson WR of Buffalo. I've watched a lot of MAC games, so I knew he was good, but even I didn't think he was that good.

Anthony Johnson is a stud though, I would love for the Vikings to pick him up in a mid-round if he goes out this year:)
