I don't see much difference between Bowl assignments and NCAA BB Tourney selection assignments. Take your assignment and lace ém up.

Nope, never said that. You can want to go anywhere you want but to hammer Memphis and say I got better places to go is just silly. I would prefer Orlando but am fine supporting the Cyclones wherever they end up.

Memphis versus a top 25 team (even if mid major) on national network TV >>> NYC versus a lower tier Power 5 team.

Memphis is a good location for ISU fans to drive to, so from that aspect it would be great. Money is always going to be a consideration for a good percentage of the ISU fan base. There will probably be some nice bus trips put together. Not crazy about playing Memphis on their home field, but they are a good team and play an exciting offensive style. Motel rooms shouldn't be much of an issue either.

BC is a P5 team but Memphis is a ranked team and if we beat Memphis we might end the year ranked.

You do not need a Clone Bone for Memphis, you need it for the Cyclones regardless of destination.

SE of Liberty Bowl...5 miles
NE of Liberty Bowl....7 miles
SW of Liberty Bowl....11 miles (Southaven).

Memphis has been a good football team the last few years. BC not so much. I don't get why people get so worked up about P5 vs G5 opponent. Memphis would be a much bigger win. especially since they are ranked.
