When was the last time we wore gold? I think we got beat, and don't think CMC likes them. Combine that with a loss and his superstitions and we may never see them again under CMC. Hopefully the same goes for the bugle logo.

I think the last time was the 70's throwbacks against Iowa several years ago. I think that may be the only time we have worn gold since switching to cardinal helmets in the early 90s.

I have a feeling there were gold helmets in those boxes. However for whatever reason, they are waiting until next year to unveil.
The perfect plan would be to unveil the new gold helmets for the Big 12 Championship game. If we end up not getting in that game, then wait until next season to unveil them.
I'm surprised we haven't gone with these helmets yet. They show them off a lot and I personally think they are cleanest helmet look we have. Would go great with W/W and W/C
all whites with this helmet are by far our best look.
