Stupid logo hate thread

Another reason why I dislike this logo
(aside from it reminding me of Criner era football).

I mentioned this in the general uniform thread, but, somebody bought me this shirt...
When KU basketball just changed the font on the front of their jerseys their fans freaked out.
"The softer, gentler Iowa State Cyclones" is the thought that jumped in my head as soon as I saw that.
I found a typo. You added an R.
Is that a hard decision for you? On the one hand you don't wear apparel with advertising on it, but on the other hand it's a free shirt.
I don't hate the Bugle but I don't love it.... could've been so much better.
I think the Cardinal Cyclone on Cardinal helmets doesn't work though. You'd need a yellow/gold helmet or a white helmet. Really ANYTHING but Cardinal. It doesn't pop at all which is what you'd want.

Why couldn't it have been something progressive like the CF logo? Somewhat menacing, slightly moving forward, borrowed elements from the current toilet swirl logo. Such a missed opportunity.
I do like this over the current version...but I just keep seeing a big FU whenever I look at it...am I crazy?

Walking Cy is the best logo we've ever had and it isn't even really close.
The one message I hope actually does get passed back to Pollard is "Don't give up on this. Failure isn't final; it's feedback". I'm glad they made an attempt as it means they/he is/are listening. Keep trying.

Flipping jackass marketing department we have.
My Freshman at Iowa State sent me this a few minutes ago with the comment "why do interest groups at ISU understand logo development better than the athletic department?"
Can you clarify why you say this, and what exactly you mean? Is it based on the gold used on the white helmet stickers?
a) Walking Cy is the best mascot logo we've ever had. We need an actual Cyclone logo.
b) Birds don't need ****ing shoes.
