My bad, I was reading this on mobile, and the headline in the Twitter snippet just says "BREAKING: Sy leaves Virginia". Doh!

I do believe Sy and Wiggington would've played together at Oak Hill though.

What's the over / under on how many replies on this thread by July 1, 2018?

(I wouldn't mind a 6'10" ex Va Tech big, in theory. Don't have any knowledge of him though).

Grad transfer guard already on the market for 2018

6'1 190lb guard
5.8 ppg 3.0rpg 3.0 apg in 23 mpg

Would be a role player for ISU but could be a decent addition if there's some attrition

Because the 5-year clock started ticking when he started the semester at Xavier. Then after he finds a new school next semester and sits out a year, there will be 3.5 years left to play.

Is he good enough to use a scholarship on since we have one open this year, or do we want to use it on two more freshmen? You take Conditt and/or THT or Harris first, right? Or not?

Ridder looks like the type of guy we would take advantage of as a stretch four 6'7 with a great shooting touch. Hopefully we contact him, beyond Harris for 2018 recruiting this is a guy I'd want the most.

Hard to say, but if the staff went that direction with Ridder, I would trust their evaluation.

Question is...did he leave because he could not make the Xavier rotation? Was he recruited over? But like the other poster said, we will trust the staff and their evaluation, and that's even if he is interested.
