So I've been keeping track of how many BPM's my heart gets up to during crunch time in ISU games. So far the top spot is ISU vs. Kansas at the Phog with 154 bpm. Followed by ISU vs. Iowa this past weekend at 122.

If your fraternity is still a guy short from your rush, I know a freshman at Iowa state.
My town isn't in top 50 safest towns in Iowa? I think at least half the murders that we get credited with is locals capping people OUTSIDE our towns limits. You can't tack those on us, c'mon!
I did an internship with ISU PD and absolutely loved it. They have a great department full of really good people. I actually took a student job this semester as a Community Service Officer which I am enjoying as well. I'm a senior this year but am graduating a semester early so I'll be done in December.
That is a problem I should probably address, LOL

I know I want to go into Law Enforcement just haven't completely decided where. Either Pacific Northwest or here in Central Iowa.
I did a ride along with Seattle PD and it's amazing the see the different styles of policing just from different areas of the USWashington is more mellow...
Lol nope.. They also had a rule if you had a rider you couldn't respond to a Priority 1 call code 3 (lights and sirens). So we were always the number 3 car on the scene, It was still fun nonetheless. A lot more priority calls in Seattle that's for damn sure.
Up here, the cops have to be tazed if they want to carry one. They did it at the ambulance shed and made a training out of it for how we need to handle a tazed person. All new officers got the hooks and old officers got no hooks but just drilled in the foot. They did anyone who wanted to just get the foot one done. I had no desire although the whole force was yelling my name to do it. I'm scared to know what they do to carry a shot gun.
Yeah that's a pretty universal thing. Never heard of anyone letting the old guys take one in the foot though, ha. I've been told multiple times that they would rather go through the tazer certification 5 times over before ever having to get pepper sprayed again.
Can't say anything about pepper spray, unless tear gas is basically the same. Then us old folks who remember Veishea know it.
