Somehow I got subscribed to Groupon. I think they must send 20 emails a day. I tried to unsubscribe. Somehow I fear that might make it worse.

I was getting an email from Classmates.com maybe 5-6 times a year. I tried to unsubscribe now that the reunion committee has moved to Facebook for updates. In the past week I have had 12 emails from Classmates. I think they're dying and they're desperate to get people to use their paid version (I have only used the free part of it).

I'm with carvers on this one. I don't find "pretty" men attractive. I like a face with some living on it...

@Angie needs to get control of these Friday OTs. Several good ones today and other weeks they are crap.

It's always hard to guess what things are going to strike people! Music and movies are always popular, but then people complain that there are too many of that theme.

Last day in my current role...bittersweet. Did find out that I will have a normal cube and not a short walled one. So I got that going for me...which is nice.

Going to either the Linn-Mar or Marion game tonight. MrsWx cousin is playing for Marion this year so we will probably end up there. Parking is a nightmare there so I hope she is prepared to walk.

Linn-Mar/Marion are continuing to earn their name of Ankeny East. Continued growth causing crowding in schools and yet another vote to build more schools and renovate. I don't argue that they need to do it but they seem to be kicking the can down the road a bit. Instead of just building a second HS they want to build several more elementary buildings, take ninth grade out of the HS and put that in the current middle schools with 7th and 8th and build two new intermediate buildings for fifth and sixth. Seems like a good plan but for how long will it work?

Then there was this news story last night.

I thought it was fairly common to have 9th grade in the middle schools? I guess I'm not sure how most schools are doing it now. I can sort of see the design plan of what they are doing build for the younger kids where I'm assuming there is the most growth and then build for the HS right before those kids hit the grade change.

I would like to participate in music but when everyone has to put a clip in, it just runs too freaking slow. Faster on my phone but usually go to CF on laptop as get so many texts on phone it is annoying.

Our middle school is 6-8. Thought that was fairly standard.

That is my assumption that the long term plan is too. Doesn't make paying for it easier though. At least over here everywhere I know of has had 9th grade in the HS. Prairie (College Community) was one of the first in the area to take it out.

When I was a kid most "middle schools" were 6-8 and "junior high schools" were 7-9 but maybe that was just in my neck of the woods as Al Roker would say.

11 days till preschool. Do any of you remember how it went for your kids?

3hrs a day. Z mostly plays with us, so a tiny bit concerned how social learning will go. She has tried to play with other kids before and her cousins.
