I am just glad that I am not the only one that enjoys that.

Or soccer. I've tried, and I really can't get into baseball, but love soccer. other people are the oppositeI feel the same way about Star Wars. Different strokes for different folks.

My Chicago advice:We have free lodging as my step-grandmother lives just outside north Chicago.
Can I venture to say that you've been delayed in O'Hare a half dozen times also?I've been through O'Hare a half dozen times...does that count?
I'm not a big baseball fan but it is much better at the park than it is on TV. I've been to Wrigley one time and it's a great time. Of course we were in the corporate box for a company that we did a ton of business with. Also tonight got my tickets for Rockies - Cubs at Wrigley. So pumped to see a game in that park.
My Chicago advice:
Take advantage of the trains.
The Hancock Building has better views than the Sears Tower (I refuse to say Willis Tower).
Just walking around most parts of downtown, Old Town and Lincoln Park are really cool experiences.

Completely agree about seeing games in person. Also, while I'm glad I saw a game at wrigley, you definitely trade comfort for history there.I'm not a big baseball fan but it is much better at the park than it is on TV. Should I move this to the humblebrag thread?
I've seen one in person. When we lived in the Bay area, the ex got tickets to an A's game from his employer. I had to look it up to see if it was the A's or Giants because the only thing I remember was that there was a dude trying to get a record of some sort in base stealing. Googling, I think it was Ricky Henderson, and he played for the A's.Completely agree about seeing games in person. That's how memorable it was for me.![]()
Ricky be Ricky. He liked to refer to himself in third person. I am so old, as a little girl I saw Vida Blue pitch for the Burlington Bees and the Iowa Oaks.
Sad news: my grandma passed last night.
It was a good thing for her though. She wasn't doing well and had commented she was ready.
