Bummer just got a call that my U.S. Bank debit card has been locked. Oh, wait, I don't have a U.S. Bank debit card. Never mind.

#******* scammers

Son in Orlando's credit card has been temporarily restricted three times in five months from skimmers. The bank doesn't call, you just go to use your card and can't. Then he logs online and has to call them, and they send him a new card. They catch that the charge isn't really him every time though. Somehow it isn't hard to figure out that when he is using it in Orlando, he isn't buying $18 worth of McDonald's in Seattle, $26 worth of KFC in Chicago, or $22 worth of Subway in Cleveland. Not sure why the first place they try the fraudulent charge is always fast food. I think Orlando must be skimmer capital of the world. Welcome to Disney.

Last year I got a call from my real Visa card folks that I thought was scam but called back on the 800 number on the card and found the message was legit. They had put a block on my card and were asking if the charge was legit, nope some weird hotel billing from Florida. By the time I called in they had blocked a couple others and frozen the card. I think the bulk fraud thieves post a couple smaller charges to see if they go through and then do more after that. Not big thousands since those are more likely to get blocked. Kinda surprised at how effective the companies are at flagging these.

Test drove a Trek electric assist bike today. It was really fun you can zip right along a about 13-15 mph, you have to peddle but it assists pick up is pretty immediate. Ez day at work finished up by 2pm. Man it's nice out wish I would have brought my bike up but I thought it was supposed to rain.

got outside to start our projects for the year. DH did the digging and I found new home for all the sod. Looked at what I had put in last year and can't even tell, blends in nicely. Hopefully this does too because as I got tired I stopped caring about my tetris game being strong. Two beds marked and dug out for expansion. Think we'll have to wait until we get the soil and mulch (hopefully this week) before we actually put in the edging and fabric. Lots to do before plants arrive in three weeks. Like to get most of them in that weekend so they are established before we leave on our trip. Got all the plants from last year clipped and pruned. Not sure how much to cut back roses so did like, 25%. They bit me several times.

ok, time to make a drink and start pasta sauce because carbs and alcohol are definitely how to reward ourselves! So lovely out with the birds chirping and sunshine!

Spent nearly two hours at Menards this morning. MrsWx correctly identified it as the Wally World of home improvement stores. Raked up pine needles and dead grass from most of the front yard, put pavers on the little pad I made for garbage, recycling and yard waste containers and finally dug river rock out from around a tree and put mulch in. Next weekend we will tear out bushes from the front of the house to make it a little planter. Think I will start by trying to use a truck to pull them out. We will then remove the river rock from that planter and hopefully from around the deck and put mulch down.

Happy birthday pants.

When we were in Orlando in November we bought our groceries the day we got there and before we could get back to the condo we got a call about the charge. I have to admit for a very brief second I debated saying that it wasn't us and getting free groceries but my conscious prevailed.

My parents watched LittleWx today so we could work and we twisted their arm to let us stay for dinner. Ended up losing the car keys in their house or in the car. This should be a fun one to solve.

My husband cannot get out of Menard's in less then two hours. If he drags anyone else there, we just go sit at the tables by the vendos.

The Orlando kid travels a lot, so have told him after all this trouble, he really should notify bank when he goes anywhere but there or here. Planning a solar eclipse camping trip with friends somewhere.

Kids spent most of the day with a rolling magnet in the yard getting nails the roofers missed. Maybe a magnet would help on the keys?

I have debated taking the day off and driving or flying down to Missouri to see more of a total eclipse.

It could help if we knew where to put the magnet.

I appreciate the amount of work you have done and will do.

My debit card expires this month. Haven't received a new one yet. Supposed to get one with one of those chip things. My mom said you can't swipe it if the keypad has the chip reader, is that true?

Yep. Have to stick it in chip reader if it is activated. Some have a place for it but don't have it activated to use,and those you can swipe it.

We aren't big fans of the river rock stuff to begin with and then add on that the puppy and Leo have contests to see who can get more rocks in the yard and mowing ends up being more stressful than it should be.

We are also wanting to get a play set but having some issues with space. The more we look into this the more I realize that it may be tough for me to avoid digging out part of the hill. Whoever did the landscaping on this house was terrible. "Let's put a pine tree nearly on the property line in the front yard, leave the maple tree so it can get nice and huge in 50 years and need cut down and put an ash tree in the middle of the only flat section of the back yard to make it even tougher to put anything back there. We will make it work but can't wait to build someday.

Watching the end of the game in the back bedroom because my ******* BIL will NOT freaking SHUT UP. He talks over everything and argues every foul (inaccurately), knows less than Jack about basketball but is an expert because he's a guy. Sister took control of the remote and mutes it whenever she wants to hear something BIL is saying...while sitting right next to him. Then both of them ask why they took the ball out of bounds.
Well, maybe if you would shut up & pay attention...

I like watching with other people, but not with people that don't know a basketball from an apple and still won't shut up.

I hate trying to scoop up and move river rock

It is probably going to be a summer long project around the deck. Mrs Wx grandpa wants it four under and around his deck and pool so we at least have somewhere for it to go.

we need a bit for the spots we are expanding. Feel free to mail it but I'm not paying the shipping!
