throttle is on the outside of the choke. That part I knew. There's a rabbit and a turtle, and it's supposed to be at the rabbit, where I had it.

I see the gas is on. Good. The choke on top, turn it clockwise as far as you can. Then the primer on the left side, press it and release completely about 4-5 times. Then pull fast and hard.

One thing I don't know, what is that button that says stop on it? Not sure what it is. I have an Ariens (Cadillac of snowblowers so props on the purchase) but mine is different. (was built for John Deere dealer, maybe why)

If all that fails, put on some yoga pants, a tight tank top and go to a male neighbor ( not sexist, but most likely will have zero effect on a female) and ask for help while twirling your hair and stuff.

That stop button is the wildcard I don't understand.

Pretty sure that's the problem. flip that Stop/Run button.

do you have to pull the handle a lot of times? rereading directions it kinda sounds like it. Is it not just once/twice and it at least sounds like it's trying like with a pushmower? I tried probably half dozen times though

Not exactly sure.

Do you have electric start or just pull start?

If like mine, key goes start up and down (honestly, just leave it on and don't mess with it). Then choke is to the right and goes all the way right. Then throttle is next and pull all the way up. I prime mine about 4-5 times. Then hit the start button. Once it gets running, I turn the choke left one click. When it seems to start running rough again, I go one more click left for a total of two and it's usually good.

I wonder what happens if I had the choke wrong when I first tried. Maybe I broke it.

Going to make DH show me again tomorrow. Correction, I will have DH direct me in starting it. Clearly just watching doesn't stick in my brain.

does, but didn't realize that til googling after I came inside. Didn't mess with that at all and don't think Dh has ever used it.

Man that makes life so easy. Like cutting the power steering on your car if you don't use it All you need is an extension cord.

ooooooo what if I primed it but the choke was off, I probably should have tried re-priming. Was afraid to flood it though.
