I think that one got deleted. I saw that comment in a quote, and tried to use the backtrack feature to see what you were respondind too, and I got the "you do not have sufficient privileges to...". I actually thought you were placed in time-out!

I think you were fine @wxman1, your post was just deleted because the post you quoted was removed.

long time coworker just showed me pics of her grandbaby. I remember when the mom was in 8th grade. Not a teen mom (though I don't think she's quite 21) but yeah that makes me feel old.

Saw a large jet coming in on my way home. Local airport is not commercial so I'm not sure what it was doing here. I know Pence is coming tomorrow, but he's in Cincinnati today so it couldn't have been Air Force 2.

Advance team bringing in limos and what not. Probably was a C-17. Fun fact wherever the president at least one or two C-17s go ahead and behind the visit to transport the limos, helicopters and some personnel. Also remember that VC-25 (modified 747) is not Air Force One. That would be any Air Force aircraft the president is on. The executive airlift wing mainly consists of the 747s, 757, 737 and G-IV.

It didn't look like one those, but it was definitely one solid and dark color. At first I saw it from a distance, then from the side so it was hard to tell how many engines it had.

You probably don't know this given September 11 and all, but on that day, my brother saw Air Force One fly over his high school football practice he was coaching. Kind of wondered if there would be other planes with that, Guessing there would be no advance team that day, but assumed there would be some military planes at least in the vicinity.

On a trip to DC, I was walking along the north side of the mall when a group of us were stopped and told to wait. Marine One flew right in front of us, maybe 75 yards away. That was pretty cool to see.

It was escorted by fighters but you would be correct after they left Florida all plans went out the window. I am guessing he was in southern Omaha? There are some good videos on YouTube about Air Force One and a few include interviews with Bush's pilot and he discusses that day.

they bring their own limos for visits? I mean, I suppose it makes sense, just a bit crazy to think about.

My daughter has a fourth grade play tonight about Sacagawea and settlers. She said she really wanted to be Sacagawea because "I look more like a Native American than anyone else in my grade." Her friend Radimah ended up getting the part and little Cooler was convinced it was "because she's actually Indian".

Southern Iowa but not too far from Omaha.
