Mods please merge with Ernst mega thread. It's great that every thread that's a loss can turn into pining for a guy averaging like 11 and 7 in JUCO.This makes no sense considering we have zero productivity from F/C this year. It wouldn't take much for us to get more from that position.
Ernst has gone on to receive offers from Xavier, Pitt and several other programs. Normally we would be jumping for joy landing a post with those offers.
If Carter transfers he will likely end up a a low major program. Kasongo basically had no other options.
Lol, I'm not even sure if Nebraska was recruiting him. It's more likely University of Nebraska Omaha was recruiting him. Then Nebraska makes the most sense. But we're Iowa State?
Zero? It's pretty reasonable to assume a Juco big guy going to Xavier and doing well at IHCC could be of some benefit. Just a moderate contribution would be a significant resulting impact given the close losses this season, and he'd still have 3 more years.
Ernst certainly has holes as a prospect, but we weighed too heavily what he isn't when what he is (and will be) is far better than what we ended up with.
Although given how Prohm has managed Young, maybe it was Ernst seeking a better place for big men.
Must be so. I've seen the talk of him being a dirty player and no one really liking him but i've never seen any posts about him punching Niang in the d1ck. not saying it wasnt discussed or it didnt happen i just didnt see it.
You do realize he went to Southern Illinois right?
Your argument is getting weird.
Yeah, it's hard to be productive on the bench. Unless, give me a D - give me an E
I agree - since he was going to ISU because he went to CC near Omaha. The "claim" was he would have come here had he been asked and CSP is to blame. I say bunk.

“I’m not sure. I’m not 100 percent sure,” Bol said. “ But Iowa State would definitely be towards the top.”
I'd take a Jake Anderson every year. All of the graduate transfers since Fred and Steve arrived...
Jake Anderson
DeAndre Kane
Bryce Dejean-Jones
Merrill Holden
Darrell Bowie
Kane obviously stands out. He's the exception, not the rule.
I'd take a Jake Anderson every year.
TF and LE would never have had him here unless they missed on top prospects first. If that's the case I feel like Prohm should be able to handle that.
Get him to understand why you can't injure teammates and turn that aggressiveness to your oppnenents.
LE and Floyd would have seen that as an asset, even if it needed some additional managing.
