I'd like to see a game sometime at the Phog, but I'd have to leave before it was over. Nothing sets my teeth on edge more than that freaking "Rock Chalk" chant they moan at the end of games. Had to listen to that crap way too many times at Hilton during the 2000's and early 2010's.
Then again, the yell kings get pretty annoying with their one and only cheer: "K-ay-ay-ay-U-U". Blerg. Think I'd rather go see a game at Kentucky. :)

I actually just got invited by a friend to see a game at Kentucky. Her husband is in the AD, so I'm guessing the seats will actually be pretty nice.

Surprising I didn't feel to sore the day after doing the 3 miles. Definitely felt sore after my first 1.5 last week, but that could be because it was my first time in a long time.

If you do something like 3 once a week, and 1.5s the other days, it works out better. Still a fast jump, and probably faster than you really want for starting out, but it's a better chance for something sustainable.

If you go for all the distance you can every day, something gets hurt. We're just not built for that.

That Rock Chalk thing is pretty annoying on TV. I do think it would probably be pretty cool to hear it in person at the Phog as long as it wasn't after an ISU game. They do have one other cheer. It goes something like this, "Boooooooo". It must not actually be boo because the KU fans always deny that they boo.

Wherever I go, there I am.

True. The "incessant but denied boo" cheer.

Rulzzz, I second the argument to start slowly and build up steam. If you're going to run, commit to the long game, and realize that there's plenty of time to build up your miles. I started running last year, starting off with the Couch to 5K program (google if you're unfamiliar with it-- it's very popular). Over nine weeks, it had me running every other day (walking/jogging at first). At the end of the nine weeks, I was able to run at a good pace for 30 straight minutes.

Since then, I now run just about every day. My usual daily run is 4 miles each morning, but I try to do a 6+ mile run each week. I still think back to when I started out a year ago, and my knees hurt after just a 10 minute walk/jog session. I guarantee if you follow your own pace, and let your body adjust, you will be rewarded.

Not exactly sure.
I went with Bring Back the 90's playlist on Spotify this morning, not a bad selection.

I did it a week ago. Got snow, hammer, marky mark and a few others. Must have been early 90s and dance music. Had grove is in the heart also, that song gets old after a couple minutes (did in the 90s also).
