My Dad was part of the naval support when we took Okinawa
Youngest son (USMC captain) has been stationed there for nearly 3 years with wife & four daughters. We finally got two weeks in a row so we could go...and it's a good thing we pulled the trigger. They're headed back stateside in late Jan/early Feb, returning early for a hot fill billet on the east coast. :)

Junior year was pretty bad. Covered stuff like women's swimming and diving, golf, softball, etc. Senior year was better. Did some work on football, then got to write a guest column about the Iowa/Iowa State football game and then got invited to do a weekly column and I quit officially covering sports at that point and just did columns. At one point I had a Thursday column about whatever and a Monday column talking about the football game from Saturday.

And yet people on here have the nerve to question your sources.

One of my customers just went on an E-mail tirade asking why something wasn't completed by the 15th. Thankfully they copied about 20 people. I'd hate to have my "The 15th is tomorrow" response just go to him.

oh I forgot about dodgeball last week. Short story, we won! I even got two outs when girls fumbled my ball and dropped it. One of them was to end the game! So pwoud.

One game, they were down to two on each side, DH and a girl on our side. DH made a great slo-mo catch where it bounced and it looked like he wasn't going to hold on and after several attempts, he held on. Was good. Then the guy from the other side threw a really hard ball and the girl just ******* caught it like a boss. We all high fived her.

Also, that guy was wearing orange-patterned leggings and I have learned that a man in leggings is high up my list of things I don't care to see.

Twoballs couldn't make it to the game, oh darn. Tomorrow we are in the playoffs vs the 2 seed which was actually our 2nd best game besides the win. We lost 4-7 so maybe we've got a shot.

She is probably more motivated to have a second then CG is to have a first. Unless CG is playing us all and hasn't announced the baby Montreal yet.

this is probably true. We were sitting on the couch last night, he was reading, I was cross stitching. Happily warm under blankets and just chilling. I was like DH, why you want to ruin this?! Look at our couch lives! It is the best!

Question... So I'm applying for an internship with a law enforcement agency and they require you to list all of your violations including traffic. I got a speeding ticket when i was like 16, but I have no idea where I could look that up because it's not on record. Any suggestions?

You could always get arrested and then ask the arresting officer.

I may have also sent Dh a pic of a little baby pouting yesterday. That was pretty cute.

I may be reluctant a good bit because DH says things will change with a baby but I'd prefer evidence of that now. Like I get up before him and go to work earlier. I don't really want to get up a ton earlier/have to stop being able to get myself nicely ready. He says he'd get up same as me and could get a baby ready. And then he'd go to work earlier. Cause that's the other thing, he is not often home before 7pm and on nights we go to the gym, it's closer to 8. He does work longer days than I, but he's not getting to work until pushing 9 when I'm in at 8. So I'm picturing future me - who would want to keep doing the gym thing on Mon/Wed - not getting home til 6:30 with a baby who probably needs to be fed, bathed, and put to bed right away. Then I still need to shower and make dinner. I don't picture enjoying that constant stress and rushing around. He says he'd get up sooner and leave work earlier but I'd like to see that he could do that now, because right now I picture it all falling on my head. I tend to believe him that he would change his habits but again, I like solid proof.

If you remember when and where, you COULD try the county clerk of court for that county. They may have ways to track it down, but it probably wouldn't be a quick thing.

ok let's be really honest, if I super wanted a baby right now I'd be able to ignore everything I just posted and say it would all work out. I don't like change and the unknown. That's what this really is. Also don't want to become out of shape CG again.

It is all an adventure. You will adjust your habits and plans because 99% of daycares require you to pick up your kids by no later than 5:30 (some are 5) before you start incurring late fees. Whether you like it or not the kid is in charge for a while.
