Random Thoughts IX (The first 8 were probably better)

We have gotten to the point where we just buy ourselves what we want for Christmas. Hubby used to be a really good gift giver, but now it is easier to get exactly what I want/need.

In an effort to blend in with the co-eds here, I finally pulled the trigger on a North Face fleece. On sale plus extra 15% off plus 5% Ebates. :) Now I just need to wear black leggings 24/7 and I will look just like a college girl. Totally.
Make sure to have Starbucks with you at all times.

needs more Uggs.

Follow up on BC's poor parking story. Went to Branson for a couple of days, the number of people there that couldn't park straight was high. Wish I had little cards that said, If you drive as poor as you park please stay off the roads. Could have probably left 50 of them underneath peoples windshield wipers.

You should probably also get that Kappa tattoo you always wanted. ;)

I just pulled up the weather for later this week, Minneapolis was the last city I had searched for. -4, I may end up removing it from the list of possible transfers next year.

This mornings little short on what happened to today in music history was that Jimi Hendrix recorded Foxey Lady 50 years ago today. I be old.

Most expensive part of the ensemble will be the brand new Jeep Wrangler.

Waiting for Pants comments on his first morning of commuting around in sub zero weather. It's cold enough this morning for car exhaust to freeze and create black ice, especially on the interstate on ramps. Also seems that sub zero kills some old or infirm autos. Always see traffic snarling breakdowns on mornings like this. Me, I am just setting her drinking some coffee and enjoying not having to drive in the I-94 demolition derby. :)

Years ago we were at a show at the Des Moines Civic Center. We get out of the show and someone had broken the drivers side mirror and left one of those cards about next time you park so close leave a can opener. The thing was they had parked next to us.

So small update. Cart still DEFINITELY before the horse, but slightly more there. So the company that contacted me contacted me about a position I applied for in a different area a year ago. I replied to them and said I'm not looking in that area because I moved to Minneapolis and if they have any positions in that area to let me know (I already knew they did). Responded saying she'd be VERY interested in talking with me about the Minneapolis position. I almost feel guilty like I'm cheating on a spouse or something.

Have to take care of yourself. Maybe it ends up being a bargaining chip for you to use with your current company. All it comes down to is how each company values you.

My wife loves hers.

Ran into them when I started winter camping near the Canadian border for a few winters. Great design and they are awesome in cold, dry climates. I have a set that I used down to -40F ambient. Worked great.

The northern woods in winter is for black-capped chickadees and pine siskins, not people. You are likely crazy, which is cool, I like crazy people. o_O
