Random Thoughts IX (The first 8 were probably better)

So one of the threads in the cave is talking about a professor at WVU who is apparently very outspoken about his views and has a link to his ratemyprofessor page. I was skimming the reviews and one of them said something like "his tests are really hard, studying for 2-3 hours will really only get you a B." I'd have probably complained about that in undergrad too, but at this point, I would kill someone if I only needed to study for 2-3 hours to get a B.

Outside of a couple finals in college. I don't think I ever broke an hour for any test. Usually 15-30 minutes and I was done.

what do you make for Christmas treats? DH and I both have work things next week so I think this weekend will include Christmas cookies. I need another type of cookie to make. I've done peanut butter blossoms but we usually end up with too many left for my taste. Maybe the reese's cup ones instead.

I'll do cream cheese frosting sugar cookies and almond bark pretzels for sure. Thinking some andie's mint brownies and a peanut butter cake ball type thing with nutter butters and cream cheese, coated in chocolate.

Maybe I should just do something easy like chocolate chip cookies with red and green m&ms

Buffalo chicken dip. Slap a Santa sticker on the side of the crock pot.

My mom called me at like, 6 in the morning this morning just hysterically crying. Starts it off with "I just talked to your brother...." and I'm freaking out thinking something happened to my niece or nephew. She continues with "I've been watching the Hallmark channel and I just want to tell you boys I love you and all I ever wanted to be a mother and I'm so proud of you!"

Thanks mom. Can I go back to sleep now, crazy lady.

nevermind, I don't much like buffalo stuff so I wouldn't want the leftovers.

I didn't really bring lunch today. Oops.

It could have been worse. She could have been watching Lifetime and called the cops on you for being a man.

Does she call you CyRocks or Pants? I'll take my answer off the air.

I'm not gonna lie, I've never studied for a test more than a day before the actual test.

clearly some here didn't take BBMB or AnS214 with chicken George.

I'm with Woo, a class that you only needed 2-3 hours of studying wasn't so bad. That's basically spending part of the evening before reviewing.

Treats for CG--I have to do sugar cookies with my grandma's recipe for Christmas. I also have a ginger cookie recipe that is my fave, but a bit labor intensive because you dip the in almond bark. Buckeyes (chocolate dipped peanut butter balls) are a must for my side. I also do (not all at the same time):
Chocolate cookies with a rolo baked in the middle
Chocolate cookies with a peppermint kiss
A chocolate expresso cookie
Peanut clusters (easiest ever)
Chocolate cookie with chocolate and Andes pieces

Google/pinterest search Avalanche cookies--an easy drop cookie

Need to figure out what I am making for the teacher appreciation lunch for desserts. Usually I do something Christmas-y flavored, but have recipes I like for mini Nutella cheesecakes and a yummy pb cheesecake I made for Thanksgiving. Then I feel like I need a cake cupcake that isn't as rich as cheesecake.

I googled it and I'm still not sure I get it.

The big dude from Jacksonville State who scored the winning put back basket over the Hawks Chad Calabria that keep the Hawks from the Elite Eight in 1970. We were all watching on TV in the Dana house den. Before we even played Iowa so we were not really routing against them. Pembrook predates **** Iowa but he did.

Meh, pretty sure she just misses Riley.

peanut clusters are a good idea. I like those. What is your recipe for those? I've never actually made them and google is showing some people use just chocolate, some use peanut butter.......I just wanted whatever is typical, I guess!
And I love rolos. Dh had wanted oreo balls but I've had one and thought they were just way too rich.

I have to double check but pretty sure my recipe is chocolate chips & peanut butter chips--melt and add peanuts.

Booze balls. They started out as Rum Balls; now we also have Peppermint Schnapps Balls, Grand Marnier Balls, Butterscotch Schnapps Balls, and Strawberry Schnapps Balls. The first three listed are still the most popular by a long shot.

What is BBMB? What was 214 about, I had a couple but don't remember the number.
