Walking Dead

I agree with most of the article. Couple other thoughts why I think the show is sliding:

(a) The walkers are no longer a viable threat. Most of the group just approaches them casually to dispatch them. While I do think the angle that the remaining humans in the world are the greater danger than the walkers is interesting, it is boring to watch most of the walker battles. Sunday was a good example. Tara was completely overwhelmed, but was able to push the walkers down while killing a few.

(b) Just a crap load of negativity. Most survivors just have a crap attitude anymore. As refreshing as it was watching some positive attitude and joking from Tara, by the end of the episode, she was just like all the others, sitting in a slump over the loss of Denise. Not that it wasn't legitimate for her, but everyone is ending up in the same emotional state.

I'm trying to figure out why you need a bullet to kill Negan. You have ample opportunity without even needing a gun.

Couldn't you see that carl was actually intrigued by Negan?

Carl would be intrigued by a bug on the sidewalk, so I'm not sure what your point is. Mine was that Negan gives plenty of chances for a multitude of people to take him out. Basically daring someone.

It's confirmed. Carl is the stupidest TV character ever.

Agreed. Doesn't hesitate to kill two random dudes, but has a clean shot at Negan and doesn't shoot immediately. Gets caught monologuing and gets disarmed.

I guess I'm alone in loving this last episode. Negan had some of the best quotes ever.

"It's a bat, bat's don't have *******".

"I'm 50% more attracted to you"

When he made fun of the fat lady starving.

I'm going to be so sad when he is gone.

The whole iron to the face thing couldn't have felt good. Ugh.

I though last night was a good episode, certainly better than the previous few weeks. I just wish they could cut away to other story lines and have multiple story lines in each episode. I fear a Morgan/Carol-only episode in the early portion of the 2nd half of the season.

I like his one-liners and all of his dialogue really. I just don't like how the actor delivers it. I'm so annoyed by the bob/weave thing I can't hardly watch anymore. And it probably makes us horrible human beings but that look he gave when the Olivia(?) said they are starving was one of the funniest moments on TWD.

Something probably happens tonight since it's the end of the 1st half of the season. Other than the season premier this season has been more miss than hit so far.

Just watching a bit and haven't caught up...I don't mind the Negan actor but last I checked 60 people can easily take over and kill one person even if he's got a barbed wire bat....watching the jail scene.

Some of this stuff is like watching something like "I Know What You Did Last Summer" where you actually start validating the villain based on the characters' stupidity.

I felt the same way with 'Fear the Walking Dead': if people are really that annoying and stupid, let the zombies have at it.
