Random Thoughts VIII: The Ocho

Bow echo incoming.
I woke up this morning to the basketball hoop being knocked over, a couple of branches down and tables & plants tipped over all over the front porch. I didn't take the time to checkout the deck in back.

I think my oldest and I are probably going to get rained on at the KISS concert tomorrow night.
I'm still jealous. You'll get to rock and roll all night!

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
Every time my wife has a problem with her iPad or phone I tell her to do this first. She always tells me that it's a stupid answer.

Our next door neighbor manages an IS department for a Fortune 500 company. She talks to him and he gives the same answer as me. She listens to him. Both of our suggestions generally solve the problem. Marriage 101 right there.

Alumni run around Lake Nokomis isn't looking to promising based on the radar and Chico Escuela's forecast.

Think it's gr8's turn. He's IT so if it doesn't work he can fix it.

Just don't have two open at once again, that was mass confusion.
Since he just got back from travel out of the country I'm a little concerned that he might make us go through another foreign language subtitle. If he starts one using whatever language they speak in England I'm going to be pretty darn upset.

Also, he could try using javascript.

As long as he stays away from foreign languages* and programming languages I'm OK with GR8.

*Except Dutch. If there's one thing I've learned from the Olympics it's that Dutch girls are hot... and tall. Boxster - Please note this and maybe you should drop Monique and pick Isa with the unpronounceable last name.

"England and the USA - two countries divided by a common language"
I don't remember who said it, but it's very true. We had to ask for clarification a LOT when we were there.

We've identified your problem with shoes. You're buying Men's shoes.

No way our running shoes fashionista sacrifices the purdy colors of her gals running shes for men's models! Nope. I am proud to wear the CG endorsed Nimbus!

True Confessions: Back in the late '80's I was having a hell of time finding running shoes to fit. Was running in Brooks Chariots for a while and they were too wide so I tried going up 2 sizes and running in their women's model which obviously ran narrower. The colors were not too girly so no one noticed.

Both times I have been there I spend half the time not having a clue what anyone said. I ordered a beer in one pub and apparently they didn't have it, but I sure couldn't figure that out from his response.
