2016 Rio Summer Olympics

Must be smarter than NBC announcers, they watched it several times and didn't even notice the interference and thought she was injured.o_O Maybe this is why they show so much tape delay, they can fix some of their stupid.
But then they go and announce winners on their nightly news program!

Same one, they were saying that she got injured in the last few feet before the exchange - too bad. He had an accent, hence KC's comment about British announcer.

So this was all basically about some drunk douchers breaking a bathroom door? What a letdown. Lochte is either an idiot or a genius for lying and creating a story where there really wasn't one. There's no such thing as bad publicity, especially for an athlete whose sport is relevant exactly once every four years.
Have you seen some of the interviews he has given over the years? I think it is probably the former.

I think one side or the other is just going with the old standby, if you are going to lie, lie big or go home. Kind of a shame that it is a bigger story than those still competing,

Have you ever heard an interview with Ryan Lochte? The answer's obvious.

Lochte exudes a laissez-faire attitude about just about everything. Or at least that's my perception.
He's not laissez-faire, he's just slow.

I do not know the age of the other swimmers in question (though I believe all over 21?)...........but this irks me:

“No apologies from him or the other athletes are needed, said Mario Andrada, a spokesman for the Rio Olympics organizing committee. “These kids were trying to have fun. They came here they represented their country.”“They competed under gigantic pressure,” Mr. Andrada continued. “But let’s give these kids a break. Sometimes you take actions that you later regret.

Lochte, who seems to be somewhat of a ringleader in this - is 32 freaking years old! Not some little kid!
