2016 Rio Summer Olympics

That female thrower from New Zealand looks like a man
I wasn't watching at this point so it might be a different person but I was watching earlier yesterday and the shot put person from New Zealand was Steven Adams sister.

So just heard they put hydrogen peroxide in the pools by "mistake", neutralizing the chlorine, allowing algae to bloom, creating the green color. Lol.

You watching men's VB now? Pretty darn noticeable.
I saw that. I think it was just for one guy though. One of the players is now famous down there for trying to shush the crowd and naturally he hears it every time he serves.

Did anyone else end up getting spoilers. I found that to be extremely irritating. I mean I completely get posting something right after it airs, but Sportscenter posted something well before it was on NBC. I understand when I'm behind on DVR but if I am watching the coverage live then I shouldn't be seeing spoilers.

There has to be a better way.

Can NBC at least title their app headlines without giving anything away? It's a ******* app, not a news broadcast.

The weirdest thing I've seen so far is on NBCSN right now. It's indoor cycling with 8 laps. For the first 6 laps there's some dude on a moped driving real slow and nobody's allowed to pass him. Then then he leaves and there's like 30 seconds of actual racing.

I love the olympics.

why would you want to be a 10km runner?
Mo is a beast.
Fun fact: The American, Galen Rupp, who finished 5th is also running the marathon (or at least plans to). During the olympic trials marathon they were talking about how one of his training runs leading up to the trials was a 20 miler at 4:57 pace. ...his heart rate never went above like 145 bpm. That's insane. The fact that he can run alongside the east Africans is unbelievably impressive.

At some point, when it comes to swimming, with most of these events, you have to think they're just racing to figure out who wins the silver and bronze medals.

Michael Jordan couldn't quit. Muhamad Ali couldn't quit. Babe Ruth couldn't quit. Joe Montana couldn't quit.

I think Phelps will be back.

that doesn't answer why I would want to train to run 30 minutes in a row without stopping though.

Whelp...there's only one more medal record he could break...oldest man to win individual gold. And it will take him TWO more Olympics. He's 31 and 2 months; in 2020 he will be 35 and 2 months. Unfortunately for him, Anthony Ervin is 35 and THREE months. Even if Michael won individual gold in 2020, he still won't be the oldest... :D
