The inmates have not yet taken over the asylum but it is still early. Mostly got some breakfast into them, they did sleep last night, and the toddler is good about changing diapers. Now we venture into the wild.......

So within a week of me finally fully retiring the guy I have been mentoring calls and asks if he can use me as a reference for a job in another agency. I am like "sure", he's a great young guy. If he leaves, and by looking at the job description he would be a really good fit, then they are back to no one other then the senior lawyer that has any experience or knowledge of what I did for the last 15 plus years and the lawyer is taking a leisure man hike this fall. I am hoping they don't think they can call and lure me back unless it's winter and 20 below and it ain't winter and 20 below.

Checked my bank account online this morning. Noticed a strange DEPOSIT on 7/25 in Clive Iowa. $370.00 credit to my account. Thought and pondered... No, I wasn't in Clive on 7/25. No, I wasn't expecting any credit/returns to that account.

Clicked on it and there were two checks totally $370 written by people I don't know to a person I don't know.

Called the 800 number. "Spanish.... Options... Other... Would you like to open an account? Blah blah blah." Decided I didn't want to wait on the line for 20 minutes for a mistake THEY made. Saw a "Contact Us" and sent off an email.

Just checked. 6 hours later they still haven't fixed it. Did get two automated emails apologizing for my inconvenience and providing me a 9 digit case number to give them should I want to contact them about the issue (Ha Ha).

Still have the money. I did get a 3rd party email requesting I rate the bank's response to my original email. While I was pondering if it was good (still have money that's not mine!) or bad (they didn't fix it after I told them about it) and clicked on the hyperlink - it turned out to be a link that is no good.

Debating whether to name the bank here or not. It's a large bank and they have a large arena in Des Moines named after it. Their sign colors look very Cardinal and Gold-ish.

Its name rhymes with Smells Cargo.

You'll be too busy hanging with pants to unretire. Just say no.

Have not been willing to deal with them for years and years. You have my sympathy.
