**2016 Capital City League Thread**

Just a heads up that I won't be at the CCL tonight so unfortunately I won't have video. Sorry for those who were looking forward to it. With all the newcomers not playing tonight, I'm going to take the night off. Hopefully Friday they'll be there.

I keep trying to figure out what is wrong with Young because he was not highly recruited. Seems like a steal -- even when he's facing taller competition it just looks like he'll figure it out.

Holy ****, this kid looks damn good. My sleeper for starting 5 later in the season

I didn't go tonight, but I've been impressed with Carter. He's obviously bigger than he was during the year last year. I think he can be pretty good.

I feel like I only post about Solomon Young anymore, but I can't wait to watch this guy grow over the next year. He's gonna be a good one. Definitely the steal of the class, and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being considered the cream of the crop a few years from now.

Bowie, Holden, Naz, Thomas, Burton and Monte were all gone tonight. So it was just basically Weiler-Babb, Simeon, Solomon and Jakolby but it was fun tonight.

Here's some Weiler-Babb highlights. A few explosive dunks. He can do this more but seems like he'd rather get his teammates involved which isn't a bad thing. https://instagram.com/p/BHDq0Ubh-GK/

Young and Long are extremely impressive. I'm really excited to see what kind of player Lard is as well. It'll be crucial to land a stud point guard and a 6'6" type swing man in 2017.

Young is the most Big 12 ready freshman we've had since Fizer. If he continues to improve his offensive game he is going to be an incredible player. I truly don't understand how he wasn't a more highly touted recruit. Would be shocked if he doesn't get a lot of minutes this year.

Yeah I like what I see and while I'd be hesitant to compare him to Fizer, I think Ejim is a safe comparison. Slightly different game but Solomon looks like he could have averaged 8 & 6 on Fred's first squad, which is probably similar to what Ejim did.

Babb is looking more and more like his older brother. He really matured physically with his year off. Seems so much more confident as well. That core of Babb/Long/Young is going to be a athletic/physical/defensive minded group in a couple years.
