I've got to wonder what happened to Lebron's jump shot this year. The second year he won the final in Miami he shot over 40% from three. Just two years ago he was shooting 38% from three and this year it is down to 31%. He is so much more dangerous if he is hitting from deep, as seen in the last game. I would think he needs to work on that before his post game.

Obviously MJ is a winner, and as much as I like Lebron I will concede that MJ is the GOAT. However, why do we kill Lebron for losing in the finals but don't bring up all the years where the bulls lost before the finals? He wasn't able to take over and refuse to let his team lose those years.

Does LeBron's shooting percentage from 3 directly correlate to his being on Cleveland vs. Miami? I am guessing he gets a lot worse looks than he used to.

James is the most dominant player in nba history. He can get to the rim anytime he wants.

This is the part that annoys me about watching Lebron, he is pretty much playing football out there to get to the rim and never gets an offensive foul.

Contrast that to watching Deonte or Georges (in no way am I saying they are Lebrons level) who get called for numerous offensive fouls doing the same crap he does.

I personally don't kill Lebron for losing in the Finals. The Warriors are more of a championship roster while Lebron is still pulling plenty of weight even though the Cavs are an upgrade from his first time there.

My comparison is more the actual demeanor of the two, but perhaps that's comparing eras too.

Also you have to take into fact that MJ was nuts. Ex. I think he seriously had it in his mind every night that every single person in visiting arenas were doubting him.

Lebron is fouled every time he drives. They can't call offensive contact while ignoring defensive contact.

You see it as him being fouled and I see it as him bulling his way down the lane.

Either way that leads me to another thing that drives me nuts about the NBA, they allow way to much pushing and holding. Almost every guy trying to run off screens is being held (literally wrapped up) by the defender it's pretty ridiculous imo.

I think you could also argue in contrast to that also. They are too ticky-tack with a lot of their foul calls when it comes to shooting fouls.

The worst at bullying in the lane was Shaq. He would just physically dominate the guy all the way back then lay it in. Post-Orlando Shaq that is.

And to get there he takes 4 steps without dribbling, lowers his shoulder and knocks three players out of the way, then complains that he got hacked all the way to the other end of the court.

I agree with this.

I wasn't an MJ fan but he was graceful and didn't have to bull his way to get to the rim.

That's what makes him impossible to officiate consistently. Shaq was the same way during the Lakers' run in the early 2000s. I remember Dikembe Mutombo with the Sixers and then Todd McCullough with the Nets trying to guard him in the Finals. By that point all they could do was stand their ground and absorb the shot. That tactic had a 50/50 shot of working. Either Shaq would go to the bench with a couple early fouls and Kobe would take over, or Shaq would rip off a 40/20. It all depended on how the refs were calling the game that particular day.

You can literally say this same thing about any player in the NBA. Minus the knocking 3 players out of the way because not many people can do that while staying upright.

Every player travels in the nba. Watch James go to the hop, he gets hacked 80% of the time

They probably learned from the King himself. My point is if you are going to commit multiple violations 80% of the time when you go to the rim, then why complain if someone else commits a violation....

Let me answer my own question. Because he is a self entitled superstar that thinks that he should play by different rules. I can easily understand why he thinks that, because he gets away with so much.

Do you get upset when Steph Curry takes out his mouth guard, puts his head down, and walks back on defense (leaving his team with a 4 on 5 situation) when he thinks he gets fouled and didn't get the call? How about Dwayne Wade screaming at the top of his lungs at a ref for not calling a foul after he just hooked his arm around a defender to get leverage and get to the hole? Draymond Green, screaming at a ref and making a face of disgust when he doesn't get a call on one end then flexing and getting in a players face when there is the same exact no call on the other end? Or maybe you're an old school guy who would rather watch Michael Jordan walk up to a ref and get right in his ear about every call they missed on him and having the ref apologize that they missed a call for him and tell him they'll get it for him next time. Any way you twist it, it is still a part of basketball, and if you can't get over guys b*tching to the refs, maybe basketball isn't your sport. Because, unfortunately, this is the world of basketball right now, and lets face it the refs are never right.. one way or another somebody is ****** off and complaining to the refs. Then when they go to the monitor and try and get the call correct, we get ****** at them for taking so long. Nobody can win.

It's one of those things Bulls fans will never discuss - Jordan unquestionably would be GOAT with or without Pippen - but Jordan won jack **** without him. And, as I said in another post, Pippen is one of the 50 GOATs, but that's because he played with Jordan. He was certainly talented enough to be the man on his own team and be a perennial All Star, but he's never even in the top 50 GOAT discussion if he doesn't spend most of his career playing opposite Jordan.

And yet people argue that LeBron would have never been a star in the '90s because he isn't physical enough. Sorry, that argument doesn't cut both ways. He's too physical for this generation, but not physical enough for the past? What?

That happens enough, if you get upset every time the blood pressure would be through the roof.

The physicality on a mentally weak player would take its toll.

Very true, very true haha. I hated playing with kids on my team who wore mouthguards because they would always take them out mid game or practice and I half expected to get a wet ball when I got a pass from them. But I digress haha. More of my point was he takes his mouth guard out, puts his head down and walks back while the other team is sprinting the other way. If I was a true Warriors fan I would be yelling at him every game, irks me just watching as a former player.
