Re: Romello White to Visit Memorial Day Weekend

White, Lard and Young in the same class, last time we signed that good of a FR frontcourt?

Re: Romello White to Visit Memorial Day Weekend

Between Lard, Carter, White, and Young, hopefully at least 2 develop into All-Big 12 players.

Re: Romello White to Visit Memorial Day Weekend

Right now we're #36 on 247 for the 2016 class, adding White would put us at #23 and neither of those numbers include Malou who has already been removed from our commitment list. That would be a remarkable class for Prohm considering the situation

And as you and I have discussed in multiple threads, Lard is VERY underrated. Long, Lard, Young and White would be an amazing freshman class for a second year coach at ISU.

I think we'd be doing pretty well if one became an All-Big 12 player, and another was a solid 2-3 year starter. Even many of our best classes haven't produced two all conference guys (although I suspect both Monte and Matty Ice will be this year).

I don't think so. Matt may be good enough, but he won't be going in with all of the hype and they will likely give the tie to another team's player to spread it out if ISU already has Monte' on the team. He would probably have to be head and shoulders over the other candidates to rake in the recognition.

I would love to be wrong because that would probably mean that ISU either won or came very close to winning the conference.

He didn't say first team. I think Matt will easily make 3rd team at least. He was honerable mention this year...

Interesting that this pops up the same day as the newspaper piece talking about options for the last spot.

Re: Romello White to Visit Memorial Day Weekend

Encouraged about the visit. Not allowing myself to get caught excited, tho. Ariz. State and Georgia have advantages for a southern boy. Hopefully he wants a little of focus town! Not to mention a team that has been to the NCAA for five straight years.

You'd think that this along with Hilton Magic, & Niang's national accomplishments would appeal greatly with this young man. However, Hurley has the "name" and Georgia...well it's in the $EC.

Crazy to think about the battle for PT if White were to sign, Burton, Bowie, Merrill, Lard, Young, Carter and White. That's more 4/5 type bodies than we've had in my memory. Hopefully that competition leads to one or two of the young guys showing they are ready to be starters in 17/18

I refuse to be encouraged about anything until we lead the nation in fewest points allowed, oreb, treb, and fouls committed while maintaining an elite top 10 offense.

Can't wait for the people that whine about depth all the time flipping their switch to a "too many players in rotation hurting team chemistry?" stance.
