It's less sexually graphic after a few episodes, but still rather violent throughout

Any episode that features Luke Cage you may not want to watch in front of your child if your skittish about sexual content in front of your child. I can't remember where exactly it is in the season, but there is one particularly graphic scene.

Is all of Jessica Jones as racy as the first scene? I started it up on Netflix, and immediately had to shut it off. (12 year old- at the time- daughter right there with us.)

I'd like to watch it, but if it's all that adult-oriented, I'm just not going to have enough time.

Wish I could remember episode by episode, but I'm pretty sure the sexual portion of things tames out a bit after the first few episodes, but it still has some sort of presence throughout, way more so than any other MCU property by far. However, like other people have mentioned, the show is still very heavy on a lot of mind-twisting/violent/disturbing scenes and images throughout (I'd even say they get worse as the season goes on) where I'd definitely call it the least kid-friendly MCU thing out there.

Also, I'd say that as things sit right now, if you were to skip Jessica Jones, you aren't missing out on much of anything from a continuity standpoint with all the other MCU stuff, even the couple seasons of Daredevil so far. However, moving forward, I'm sure there will be more and more tie-ins you'll likely be missing out on through upcoming series such as Luke Cage and the Defenders. Shoot, Luke Cage was a pretty main character in Jessica Jones. It will be interesting to see what direction Luke Cage goes from an adult-themed standpoint. Both Jessica Jones and Daredevil have both gone heavier on some stuff and lighter on others. Most likely Luke Cage will have its own mix of whatever that is.

I loved the paranoid feel of the first half of the season. They made the thought of Kilgrave terrifying. Well done.
Will be cool to see them crossover with Daredevil eventually

Well, beings how you haven't gone through Daredevil Season 2 yet, there is crossovers, but if you are hoping for a lot, you might be disappointed. Also, keep an eye out for a solid Agents of Shield crossover too that could easily be missed.

Word is out that Spiderman, Antman, and Black Panther knock it out of the park in the upcoming festivities.

what was the agents of shield crossover?

<<<<<<<<Minor Spoiler Alert>>>>>>>>>>

I don't know if it is more a crossover or what you would consider just an Easter egg, but it was the strong presence of the Dogs of Hell gang, which also has made at least one appearance in an Agents of Shield episode. It was the one when Asgardian Lorelei came down to earth.

I saw this morning that Marvel is having a special promotion at select theaters. They have a Captain America Marathon showing the first 2 Cap movies and the 2 Avenger movies followed by the premier of Civil War. Sounds like an awesome day but a lot of butt time in a theater.

That would be awesome....not sure I have the attention span I once had though. I would probably feel like I should be doing something more productive at home.

Yeah, I heard that too and thought wow, that would be kinda fun. However, then I come back to reality and can come up with a bazillion reason why I shouldn't or even couldn't do that. However, I did go back and watch The Avengers again last night as a little pre-party action. That movie is still super good.

Growing up sucks. Who came up with that, terrible idea.

Winter Soldier owes a lot to Sebastian Stan and the Sundance Kid.

Man, I hate it that North America is almost like last to see Civil War, not necessarily because I have to see it before other people, but rather because of all the spoilery crap that is just abundantly out there and a little tough to avoid. Anymore, I pretty much just can't read anything Civil War related because it is all pact with spoilers or information I don't want to know, not to mention all the clips galore rolling around. Shoot, you could probably piece them all together and get nearly a full movie.
