soooooooooooooo when you guys all showing up at my place to finish the landscape work? Plants arrived at 6:45 this morning. You really need to get going on this for me.

I'll be there tomorrow morning, work gloves, shovel, garden shears, wheel barrow and hand shovel in tow. Should I bring an upholstery knife for cutting out sod? See you early on Saturday to help load, unload, distribute and carry softener salt from the tennis fundraiser. Also, please bring a pickup or at least a 12 pack of New Glarus Scream to reimburse one of the neighbors for borrowing their truck.

People practice catching for kickball? A lot more serious than I ever would be.

I was at first base last fall and I was a pretty terrible player. Mah homeskool skillz/natural ability coming out. You know when you watch someone and you're just like darn, was hoping the ball wouldn't go near them? Pretty sure that's how my teammates felt about me. So we got a kickball and I made DH just throw it at me so I could at least get a feel for it.

But it's been a few months and I just want a refresher. I was so much better last fall after that bit of practice. Not great but you know, but I got 2/3 outs one inning, that was cool. And teammates could be like 60% that if they gave me a well-thrown ball, I would catch it.

She's a graduate. He is not, but is also really only a casual fan who has some ISU sympathies as well.

'Round these parts you really can't avoid it, but I've found that most of the time, the actual graduates aren't nearly as insufferable as Wal-Mart hawks.

Hopefully this involves drinks afterword. When we used to play co-rec softball in our late 20's, we'd have about 2 practices prior to the season that generally ended up being about a half hour long before we went to Bunker's (the bar that sponsored us) to drink discounted beer because we had Bunker's t-shirts on. Also, keeping the practices short allowed us to get there before they started charging cover for admission to listen to that night's band.

kickball doesn't have a catcher, do they? we usually have a girl at shortstop but that's usually where UK friend plays. Cause she didn't even know the rules and I at least somewhat knew the rules.

And they are drinking before our game tonight but we gotta do yard work so we aren't going this week. Someone will probably bring a cooler to the game.
